I don’t like it was the Knicks. And rumors are he requested to be traded there and threatened tell everyone he would sign past his contract. I don’t understand this idea that a player with multiple years left on his deal can not only demand a trade but pick where he wants to go. F that. So far they did it with Durant and now bridges.

That being said I like the picks but. Last year they had an opportunity to get all their draft picks back and jaylen green from the rockets for bridges and turned it down. Wtf, that would have a been a much better deal. Green is turning into an allstar. And we would have gotten the 3rd pick this draft and our own destiny for the next few years. Getting. 2026 back is great but we give up other picks to get it. Idk what marks is doing. But I don’t like sending him to a rival team.

Sucks we didn't take the Houston in season offer for Bridges, but this is a good return considering Bridges had a down season.

I think the only pick still owed to Houston is a 2027 swap.

3 FRPs in the much hyped 2025 draft class. The Bucks pick is only top 4 protected. It would be glorious if they found a way to implode. We paid a steep price for our '25 & '26 back, but it's worth it given how many future picks we have.

this strikes me as a better deal than the Houston deal.

basically comes down to the 3 unprotected PHO picks they have allegedly given up to HOU vs 5 unprotected NYK picks/swap plus protected MIL pick.

6 picks > 3 picks. don't think jalen green changes that too much.

Finally, the right path! Glad that Marks ate his pride and went to rebuild mode.

The excitement is back as a Nets fan!

Immediate excitement? No, but at least college ball is interesting to Nets fans again!

Something is off. I think we have 4 picks next year:
BRK
NYK unprotected
MIL top 4 protected
OKC/HOU/PHX

Exactly! Still much better than the 12-70 season and Billy King debacle.

Apparently as part of the rockets picks trade that was also announced the nets get their 2026 pick. And the rockets give up their right to pick swap for 2025. This is the huge deal. 2025 is a strong draft class. And we will control our own fate.

For the most part.

I think Marks saw that he was basically replacing the Suns picks with Knicks picks so he saw value in regaining our own picks since they’re likely lotto for the foreseeable future anyway.

I was against trading Bridges unless we got our picks back. Our picks back for this and next year is good enough. Now we can finally draft some talent.

AND we still have the Knicks pick and two Suns picks. Amazing haul that we can use if we want to trade for a star down the line.

Its time to build through the draft and get a homegrown star on the Nets. The Knicks can have NYC for the short term.

I don't think adding Bridges gets them anywhere frankly. They are likely still a 2nd round exit.

Does Bojan still have value? Some playoff team might want him or Johnson. Any chance of moving them for firsts? Yes, we have our own pick back. I'm all in on the tank for an upcoming hyped draft class.

Worse case scenario he is an expiring contract.

I read somewhere that Bridges demanded a trade so let's not crown Marks. He definitely did not want to do this deal
