The Raptors announcers just called Lawrence Frank one of the best in the business in drawing up players out of timesouts...

it wasn't pretty for most of the game, got too interesting late but another road win against raptors feels good. Vince and Devin 13-38 and Nets win, hard to believe.

Well if I were to praise Frank about one thing, it would be that and when to call timeouts to break the other team's momentum. I don't know if I'd call him the best at that. I know that he struggled nearly all last year with those.

Alright, at least in the ACC, he's been unstoppable with that. But yeah, if there was one aspect of coaching he was above average in, it would be those. The reason he had been sucking at those last minute plays last year was because he was too predictable.

Nice win. Big last quarter from dh. nice game from mr anderson. Did Yi suck as bad as the boxscore suggests?

He played tough, especially in a physical game so he got into foul trouble early. Didn't give anything easy. Luckily, Boone, Lopez, and Anderson picked up the slack.

The most reliable Frank lineup is:

Dooling
Harris
Hassell (now); Hayes (gets back)
Anderson
Lopez

They play good D and have scoring options. THis lineup has helped the Nets come back in a few games.

There's that 2009 New Jersey swagger thats been missing for the past 3 games!
Hopefully this is the first of many games where we play like we did before the previous 3 games.

definitely...

Lopez's dunk on Bosh was sick...now only if we could play def. like the last night in 4th qtr, we be fine...closed out on a lot of jump shooters...we looked rough and tough last night...thank god Devin made an appearance in the 4th...

live in T.O. & this was the hardest game of the year to watch..go figure. Was busy w/ other things & kinda got bored watching it...seemed to be no rhythm to the game but I was distracted anyways.

Hassell has shocked the last few games in being not completely useless on offense - when Hayes comes back I wonder if Frank will be more apt to use Hassell to take both Simmons/Hayes minutes depending on how good or bad the defense is. Too bad he doesn't have 3pt range or else he could take Simmons role...personally I'd still only use him if Nets are getting hammered on defense AND the SF isn't balancing it out on offense.

Vince struggled but at least he put his nose in there to grab a bunch of rebounds on the offensive glass. If Nets aren't going to get fastbreak points they might as well try & get easy points / fouls / extra scoring opportunities off the offensive glass - floor balance is crucial though as you don't want your SG going for offensive glass when Devin has just gone in for a layup attempt but it's something they can try & focus on as they do have a big frontcourt.

Anderson still taking too many 3's for my liking but hey if he hits them. The Nets are such a different team when Yi and/or Anderson mix up their offensive game. At least Anderson decided to get dirty & took Yi's minutes for doing so. Yi is still the starter hands down imo but fouls & Frank at least are making him earn his minutes.

SWat's time with the Nets is pretty much done isn't it ?....I thought he got a decent (fair) shake. Could have used more minutes but the time he spent on the court just didn't show he should be rewarded with more.

Boone has some glaring deficiencies but this guy runs the floor as good as anybody on this team and has the best nose for the ball off the glass & pick & roll situations. Just a smart guy. You'd think he would figure out how to fix his FT shooting since his form seems ok...must be a Nick Anderson mindf@#$ kinda thing.

It's nice when the dynamic duo shoot 0.34 from the field & the best frontcourt guy shoots 0.31 but your team still manages to win.

I really thought they would get blown out again. Colour me surprised. I just don't know what to expect from this team game to game. Hope the bad habits from the Wolves blowout is all out of their system now. These days I figure Nets are in tough if they don't have a 10pt buffer going into the half.

Well it turns out Yi was also battling the flu during the game yesterday... So take that as you will...
