Just embarassing.

At least he is playing a solid all around game tonight, but that can't be good for his confidence.

No! He didnt miss the dunk, he got block....by the RIM...

Excellent win.

We need to keep up this type of intensity every game.

If we can be just a slightly better then .500 home team by the end of the year, we should have around 45 wins.

Devin was absurd, VC the same.

Yi with a double double and played solid overall defense.

Brook better then his stats.

Coming to expect this type of performance from Jarvis.

Amazingly Frank actually coached OK tonight, but again he is carried by the all world performance of his backcourt.

The crowd was chanting "Thank you Cuban!" at the end of the game. Classic.

"THANK YOU CUBAN!!" His face was PRICELESS. What an amazing game. Harris is unbelievable. Every Net played well today. Cuban must be killing himself right now. WOW I LOVE THIS TEAM. It's games like these that remind me why I love the Nets.

Holy ****!!!
Best win of the season? you betcha!

-Yeah we've all forgiven Kidd already (standing ovation proves that) but come on you have to admit you enjoyed seeing him with that sad and dissapointed expression on his face when Devin was beasting it out there he definately didnt like what was happening out there.

-Haha the fans were just awesome tonight "Thank you Cuban" hahahaha priceless (it also seemed Vince was enjoying the chants) I personally dont dislike the guy but again just like Kidd you can see that Devin doing so well hurts this guy's ego so hard .
Everytime Devin did something amazing I thought he was gonna cry hehe.

-So nice to see Jarvis back these past couple of games really proved how important he is to this team, how much better we are with him and most importantly that we can finally find a way to maintain leads with his bench production.

-We're over 500 again woho!

-Yi has found his stroke again, just please will somebody teach this guy how to dunk the ball or at least tell him to just lay it in if he doesnt know where he is?

-VC just going out there doing what a true leader and a true team captain does you saw just how calm he was when YI botched the dunk he went up there to tell him that it was nothing and to give him a high five, just an amazing leader.............oh and those 34 points,10 rebounds and 6 assists didnt hurt either LOL :)

-And now the man of the hour (who will now be known as the blur) Devin effin Harris man talk about making a statement you knew he would be amazing tonight but man thats not even close to describing how good he was, he made both JKidd and Terry (actually make that the entire Dallas defense) look like his ****, he got to the rim at will and definately made his J's and constantly found his teamates to go for 41 points and 12 assists.

LOL I'd love to see Kidd's and Cuban's reaction to the game tomorrow.
Ahhhh now time to go to bed with a smile on my face that is if I can calm down from this undescribable feeling of satisfaction.

Called this win. Knew it would be a W but not by this wide a margin. Makes up for the snow-in up here. I knew Devin was going to bring it but the forgotten story was Vince was going to be huge too, which I was certain of also.

This is when the backcourt is at it's best. Both guys taking turn handling the offense, giving Harris the plays when he has the hot hand & letting him wheel and deal out there on his own volition and letting Vince steady the offense when things get shaky. I had a feeling VC would be gunning for a triple-double this game but he didn't force trying to get assists which was good, I thought he might today.

Hayes. What a difference a bench player makes. He hit some tough shots out there. Does Dooling consistently throw the worst passes to open shooters...at the knees, to the side...outside of that I've come around to accepting the positive things Dooling brings to the Nets.

I was so happy when Najera got the layup..haha almost missed it too.

Props to Yi tonight. Awful beginning stretch where he comes out shooting blanks on mainly open looks. Could have put his head down & sulked but he was trying real hard on D and his shot finally came around. He also tried to create his own offense a few times which I want WAY more of. Showed good resiliency today where he seemed to fold before (maybe his sickness really was affecting him....). I like how after he clanked the open dunk Vince went up to him and gave him high five for his effort & the rest of the team patted him on his back - these guys do support one another alot on the court/bench..it's great to see.

Dirk was decent but he settled way too much on his (albeit great) jump shot. A lot of times I thought he could have forced a drive to try & get a foul but raised up instead. Kinda like the days when I hate watching Vince. Still did get to the line 10+ though, still...what happened to Josh - I barely noticed him out there on the floor. Used to love this guy's game.

Thanks to Devean George for letting the trade go through. Thanks Cuban (nice Chant IZOD fans).
Some great bench shots today - right after Devin gets a bailout call at end of quarter brief shot scan over Mavericks bench and you see a glimpse of Popeye "Manson stare" Jones and of course the "Aw C'mon/crybaby" shots of Cuban after the long distance 3 by VC / corner 3 by VC both assisted by Harris were priceless.

I like that for the most part the crowed cheered for Kidd, he deserves all respect for his time with the Nets - I thought they should be louder but hey it's the IZOD hearing cheers is an accomplishment. Kidd was superfast to get out of there after the game though - Devin/Vince had barely a chance to give the hey good game finger point to him - understandable I guess considering the outcome of the game. Great great win at their home, four full quarters.

Great win, I actually enjoyed watching the game for almost entire time and yet I couldn't not notice how big of a stud Bobby Simmons is, even if it was in thankfully limited playing time his +/- compared to rest of the team is worth noticing http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2008121917
If Nets could trade for a real NBA starter at SF they really could make some noise in eastern conf

BTW, big shoutout to Jason Kidd.

He was a huge part, the # reason that this franchise turned into what it is today.

Once the Clippers of the East, we became the best team in the East for years, to one of the top 3 in the East for years, to a true contender for a while longer, to him indirectly starting a new era by allowing us to aquire Devin Harris, the #1 PG in the East and probably the 5th or 6xth best in the Association.

He is the reason fans like you and me now have such high expectations of our team and demand no less then a team that will contend.

Much respect for him, even if he didn't leave on the best terms.

Its a good day to be a Nets fan...didnt catch the game live, but was able to watch it off the DVR this morning...

ITS A GOOD DAY TO BE A NETS FAN!

Devin Harris 41pts, booooah...just took what the Mavs gave them, knew he was going to have to make jumpshots not allowing him to penetrate at will...and he's proving he can shoot from anywhere on the court in every manner you can think of...On top of that 13 asts (career high) shows Devinis can be complete and true pg when guys are making shots they should...

Then you back it up with Vince dropping 34pt 10rebs (a combined 75pt w. the Blur...)...there is not many teams who could handle the fire power...

Despite Yi inability to make a layup/dunk, sticks with his shot and ends up goin 7-15 16pts and 10rebs....3rd double-double for the Nets last night (whens the last time that happened?)

Jarvis makes his return w. some key layups and jumpshots, goin hitting two from downtown for 14pts(Nets shot 14-26 from deep 54%)

Watching Kidd take the floor and despite the snow crowd on top of the Nets already inferior crowd, I did have a nice grin on my face while thinking where Kidd took the Nets franchise...but I was ready for Devin put the stamp on this trade...sorry Dallas and thank you Dallas...We got the player of the future and your team just does not look like its capable of making that run Cuban may think you can...

Finally a home win in big time fashion...we need to protect home court and not let teams think we're soft at home...gotta close out teams and not forget about the 3rd qtr...I'll take 26pts any night in the 3rd...

And one last thing...mentioned it before...Devin and Vince just look so comfortable out there on court together...this duo may only prolong Vince's career in a Nets uni...and at this point on want Vince in NJ...

This summer I felt Devin and Vince would be a force.

Now if the Yi, Lopez, Anderson, Simmons, and Hayes can find out how they can best fit in and play off of those two...the Nets will get to 50 wins this season.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
