Great season opener for us, even if it was one sided af. Hopefully we trash the Celtics on Xmas too.

That was a joy to watch lol. Sky is the limit for this team. Levert is so much better than Wiggins it's not even funny lol. He will rock the Manu role this season.

Nailed it. Been top defensive player in this game.

Calma, calma.

I will say, lanky athletes like Oubre have historically roasted Joe's defense. I'm glad to see he's made serious strides on that end.

After 12-70 and living through Billy King, I don’t feel bad for teams, especially those that have been super successful.

I might gain some sympathy if we win a title lol.

Nope. even then, I will not feel an ounce of pain for anyone. We went through HELL. If we get to the mountain top, I will act the FOOL!!!

LOVE the way we've played the last 2 games. Everything just fits beautifully.

KD looks fantastic on both ends. His time in Golden State made me forget what kind of leader he is. Really encouraging on the court. Kyrie is 100% locked in. Joe Harris next to those 2 guys is just unfair.

Dinwiddie in the backcourt looks like a great fit. We all know what he can do but he's focused more on managing the game - a role he played more his 1st full year with us. Keep up the pace. Get to the rim / FT line when things slow down a bit. He'll get the TOs down. If teams think they're just going throw their worst defender on Dinwiddie or ignore him, they're gonna be in trouble.

The Warriors are really bad so I don't want to take too much from this but I really like the way our defense looks. With KD at 4, we have 2 really good rim protectors at all times. We're super active off the ball. Switching, helping + rotating. Great start on that end. We completely clamped Curry down.

DJ + JA need to get better but they were solid. 2nd unit looked good but I think LeVert needs to find that balance between scoring + finding the roll man + keeping our shooters in rhythm. Good start for him as a 6th man.

Agreed.

I thought there were a tad too many times where Levert called his own number and his teammates were standing around.

I hope the bench runs some semblance of an offense and doesn’t just wing it. But it’s the beginning of the season. I’m sure things will work themselves out over the long haul.

I thought he was fine for the most part. 20, 9, and 5 off the bench is no joke. Just looked to score or hit Allen most of the time. Shamet is such a weapon. It would be deadly if they developed a nice chemistry and played off of each other.

But oh man, I could get used to Prince as the 10th man on the team. He took 1 shot today. I'll take that all day. Last year he was our 2nd/3rd option at times

I think the defense on the perimeter and the interior defense is being overlooked. The Nets aren't making it easy on defense. Honestly on offense, I have no idea what we are running outside of KD, Kyrie, and move the **** out of the way.

I told yall about Prince. He looked good out there and only took 1 shot that he missed.

Shamet is going to be one of our key players.

This is how stacked our bench is. Our 2nd unit is LeVert/Shamet/Prince/Green/Allen. That unit is beating the brakes off of any other 2nd unit, and then factor in that we'll stagger Kyrie and KD with those guys at any time.

This game could have brought tears to my eyes. Waited years for times like this. After Boston we have a relatively easy schedule too

I agree with both of you, but to be fair to the pawns, many predicted that we would have better postseason success than regular season success. We looked well suited for series dominance.

This is great to see and hear.

Kyrie's willingness to work off the ball part time is a BIG component in making this system gel with our current roster. He's not worried about numbers, he's putting in a shift defensively, and IMO his impact is more positive than it has ever been.
