This is what bringing politics into your NBA life creates. This guy is going to leave that part of the mandate in to prove a point at this stage.

Kyrie is in a privileged position by being able to keep his job. This could be a bad look if Adams makes an exception for one person. Everyone is focused on Kyrie and not the rest of NYC where people lost everything due to their stance.
This is just a bad situation overall and I wish Kyrie was traded instead to avoid this circus
These moderate Dems will get smoked during midterms for not fulfilling their promises and being severely incompetent. That's without mentioning what type of corruption going inside them. Sinema situation alone shows it's a disaster. You add Adams situation and him being tool, it's over for them, for good reasons.

Everything in our life is political, directly or indirectly it involves politics. If Kap had Kyrie's talent he'd achieve much more success for legitimate good reasons. Kyrie... that dude just idiot who thinks he knows much more. It's a syndrome called " Dunning Kruger ".

Kyrie is an employee of a private company, not the city. There is a massive difference.
Believe me, i am not defending Kyrie's stance. But this is just absurd at this point.

City workers are the only ones who are subject to that mandate.
So its not the same thing at all.

I feel similarly. Kyrie should have gotten vaccinated, the mandates did serve a purpose (even if not flawlessly executed - but it's understandable that they weren't)... But the current position doesn't make much sense. You have to pick a side. I'm ultimately for whatever side data backs.

Re: NYC Mandate: Kyrie Irving Eligibility Discussion
I saw a tweet commenting how Ny Yankees unvax players can still play but not Kyrie, in comparing Bronx to Brooklyn unfair eligibility.
Is this true? if so, can someone explain to me how?

Are they allowed in the dugout, locker room, trainer's room?

More than likely

Then it's BS, because those are indoors & part of employment.

This is a grudge against Kyrie and the Nets/NBA. Saying this is not even a conspiracy theory, they literally changed the original updated mandate in order for Kyrie to still not be able to play.

Right? I've trying to find anything but nothing seems to have those details.
Thus I assume, no trouble.

The city workers being fired has nothing to do with Kyrie. those are public employees.
Kyrie is being held back under a completely different mandate, that deals with private employees.
Anything done or not done with kyrie has nothing to do with those fired

The stadium is irrelevant. the mandate for venues was lifted. the mandate keeping kyrie out is the private employer mandate, which applies to the yankees where they play indoor or outdoor

Re: NYC Mandate: Kyrie Irving Eligibility Discussion
Joe Tsai needs to put his foot down here.
The city has basically targeted his team and his players. If i'm tsai im playing the Nets games in newark until the city lifts the restrictions, and threatening to move the team back to NJ.
Maybe im watching too much of the show "Billions", but if bobby axelrod owned the nets Kyrie would have been on the court months ago

Given that tickets are already sold for the entire regular season, I don't think Tsai would consider relocating games. Playoff tickets have not been sold, so that's more realistic. However, Tsai owns Barclays. Would he give up the playoff game revenue so that Kyrie could play? I think it comes down to money. If the profit is greater by going an extra round or two in a different arena, then maybe he makes the move.
