I've also lost all hope Lin will be back soon...I now expect Lin to come back right before or after the All Star break..Unfortunately for all you Lin fan, by that point, Brooklyn will be in full development-mode, so Lin may see less time than he would have if there was something to still play for...Seeing how Kenny is willing to sacrifice a chance to get a win to develope a second rounder who wasn't having a good game. I can only imagine how extreme things will get if the Nets were to un-officially be out of playoff contention by all-star break.

At that point, I wonder whether they would be any consideration in trading Lin in which I think would be best for Lin and Nets...Maybe a trade with the Magic who are looking to trade Payton.. would make sense for the Nets who needs young talent to develop alongside Whitehead, LeVert, Yogi and McCollough

@hood30
um, no. Disagree 1000% with you. You've just lost all hope. No way will Kenny drop Lin. In that case you don't know what kind of relationship they have.

Any way fans can put pressure on management to release some information?

Because he wants to be there to support his team and stay involved, keep his stats, see what he can pick up being on the sideline to hopefully run the team even better when he comes back. It's a good thing.

Yes, I agree what you said especially if he come back soon. But Lin has been out 1 month and was far from back to play. Like the west trip in 3 weeks ago, stay for better recovery or heavily travel as supporter. I pefer 1st option. Also that made fans misunderstanding about Lin's real status.

The Nets were in development mode from day 1.... and Lin is part of that. Kenny believes development doesnt stop at 24 and lin improving to where he is a top 12-15 PG would be important for this team. Just lins present is important for development as well. I can see a diminished role, he is part of this thing.

Payton is a bad fit for the nets. and I think Lin is better for this teams development. you cant just throw out all young guys... that leads to bad habits and guys forced into roles they arent ready for.

I doubt it... it was a big focus point for this franchise and one of the reasons they brought in marks. the leaks in the past were awful.

this team is run like the patriots or spurs.

It's been about 5 games since Fratello said that so I wonder how did he come to the conclusion that Lin may be only 3 games away.

He talked to Lin around Nov. 16. That was Lin's estimate.

Stop whining guys, when he's ready, he'll be back.

Not good to rush him back, remember MKG last year?

How many times do people have to repeat that NOBODY wants him to rush back and possibly reinjure himself. What people want is ANY information on status or ballpark return date. :banghead:

Maybe you are like that, but not everyone sound as patient.

It sucks, but whatever; when he's ready, he'll be back. They say he's spotted in practices, supposedly a good sign; then he'll do a full practice and we know he'll be back real soon.

Perhaps it just depends on how he feels? It's progressing, when he feels fine, he'll practice; when he feels 100%, he'll play.

Give out information will not make him come out any earlier though. Maybe help fans on their anxiety a bit, but if there is a setback or a delay, fan's anxiety will come right back, so it still won't help much.

It's really painful.

Actually I'm surprised that people are less curious about LeVert's status.

LeVert was supposed to be okay for training camp when he missed the summer camp, then the target is the season opener when he could not play in training camp.

a bit over a month into the season, he finally is cleared to practice fully with the team, but I'm curious that he is still not cleared to play the game yet, what is it?

seriously? Trade Lin? Because he is not being rushed back onto the court to appease you?

he's practicing with the team. he needs to get into basketball shape and get more time in on the floor first before he's ready to go in games.
