Jesus Christ.
He had back pain from the herniated disc extending to pain in his LEGS and we had guys in here thinking he’s scared, mentally ill or faking should be ashamed.

Yea I can see Ben easily doing what Bruce Brown does and more. We might need his defense deeper into the playoffs for guys like Giannis etc.. And imagine if he's back in time for a Philly matchup lol that would be rating thru the roof .

One thing is for sure, he's more suited to playing PF or SF, now that his back is an issue.
Whereas prior to injury he would probably like his chances of playing PG at least part-time.

Re: The Official Ben 10 Simmons Thread
Basically all he has to do is take James Johnson minutes off the bench and just be better than that.
If he can do that by playoffs, that alone makes us much stronger.
Lowkey liking Bruce Brown in the starting lineup. I would not give Ben the starting spot until he clearly shows he's better than Brown.

That's why i said the people who were saying he was faking it are deranged (Philly fans). People just don't get epidurals for the hell of it.

A healthy Ben does what Bruce Brown does but on steroids.

Brown brings an emotional energy to the team and is a willing 3 point shooter. That being said, Ben does everything else much better.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, because there is no drug-testing online
But this is one of the most bizarre takes I've ever seen, that Simmons didn't want to play because he was intimidated by KD and KI's scoring
and to start a thread with it....

Maybe but this year since I'm the unlikely event he does okay their will be conditioning issues, but I'd love to see Simmons at center in spurts, kind of a Boris Diaw on steroids...

Ben off the bench is the best bet. he is likely to be able to only go 15-25 minutes. at least early on. This maximizes his minutes by helping prevent an opponents run while our stars sit. If he has it going, you play him late too, or situationally to get stops

Michael Porter Jr. just had a setback on his back rehab
You can't play around with back issues. Ben will play when he's healthy to do so. If that means next fall, so be it.

Re: The Official Ben 10 Simmons Thread
I think there are only 2 possibilities with Ben at the moment:
1. The team knows he's out for the season but they want to keep lying to the fans + competition.
2. He's secretly doing more than we know behind closed doors and there's a chance he's randomly upgraded to probable one day.
Neither would surprise me.
There's just no way what Nash is saying is true AND there's a chance he plays in the playoffs. According to Nash, he's done absolutely no on-court work. He can't even play 1 on 0. And we're supposed to believe he'll be playoff ready in 2 weeks. And we'll just throw him in there? That's ridiculous. The guy hasn't played organized basketball or had a real practice since last year.

The leg pain means there was nerve impingement from his herniated disc.
This is before the news but he speculates around this topic

Simmons still isn't practicing.
I don't get why we don't just shut him down for the season. Like how is it even possible he plays?
Seems absurd.
I want Nash to replace the Johnson minutes with Griffin and forget about Simmons.

Re: The Official Ben 10 Simmons Thread
But Simmons will want to be part of the NBA Finals, even if its only 5 minutes per game, so its worthwhile persisting with the workouts so he can contribute to winning a championship.
So even if he's not ready for the 1st Round, June is a long way away so he could be ready for the NBA Finals.
And he won't disrupt chemistry if its only 5 or 10 minutes, or junk time etc.

regardless of how it shakes out, have the Nets ever botched their PR worse then this season? Constantly caught with their pants down... from marks saying big3 extensions would definitively be done by training camp to waffling back and forth on kyrie on road games, to saying harden wasnt to be traded right before he is traded to joe harris injuries to bens now.
it is one thing to give little/no information... its one thing to be either flat out wrong (extensions/harden trade) or proven to be lying (Harden trade, maybe ben?)
awful

Nets PR staff needs an overhaul, the messaging has been awful to the fanbase all year long.

The extensions were wishful thinking. Harden & Kyrie would have had to leave A LOT of money on the table in order to extend last offseason. They would've needed to be persuaded sacrifice years (Harden & Kyrie) and dollars per year (Kyrie) to resign last year. Given his age, Kyrie could have done a short extension to hit FA again in a couple years. Harden was always going to want his final, bloated golden parachute. I REALLY hope Philly gives it to him.
