Surprising but good news. probably play backup for < 20 minutes. Would put him in position to play more against Lakers a winnable home game.

I can think of a few motivations - none of them worth wasting cyberspace bandwidth.

Yeah get him ready for the Lakers home game. We've got Lakers and then Magic and 76ers away. They are all winnable games so we should be doing everything we can to get the team ready for those 3.

ESPN just confirmed Lin is playing tonight. My biggest worry is Beverly taking out Lin like what he did to Westbrook.

Westbrook and Beverley don't like each other. Beverley hasn't played the type of defense on Lin that he does on Westbrook in games I've seen. It seems personal when he plays Westbrook.

Lin's probably used to his D after playing against him so much in practice.

I think he played fine. As good as you can expect from a player not seeing the floor for 6 weeks. Hopefully he can get his shot back soon so he can contribute more on the offense end in the next a few games.

Not bad. He looked rusty as expected but made a huge difference in getting our offense flowing.
