Okay I want to point something out here and i've been saying this for weeks now.

RHJ: 20pts 13rebs 4asts 1stl 1blk 3TOs 5-12FG 10-11FT.

No 3pt attempts. Everything tonight was earned through hardcore, attack the rim, midrange basketball.

This is how he should be playing. I'll live with mistakes if we get this kind of play each night. He needs to be aggressive, and his offensive attacks should be from mid range shots and cuts and drives to the basket.

Demar DeRozan is leading the league in scoring and he can't shoot threes to save his life. Everything he does is mid range and from the stripe. RHJ should be watching tape of DeRozan because that's where his bread and butter lies. He's a solid FT shooter.

Liberal definition of "top player" here.

How the **** did the Nets get this cupcake early schedule? Every time I check boxscores they're playing some scrub team. I guess that bodes well for later in the season. Can't even stay .500 playing a bunch of **** squads.

Come on PHX, do us a favor. Steal this one for us in the 4th. Keep them down now, while the schedule is easy.

Shut this thread down.

Man, if we can steal one of these last 3, then get Lin and Whitehead back when we head home it would be awesome.

lakers arent good i dont care if they are winning early. if it wasnt a back to back id call that a probably win. clippers are playing great but we do usually play them well.

OKC to me has been suprisingly worse then i thought. get russ into chuck mode and the other guys start to drift. they can be beat.

could be 0-3 but there are winnable games. to be honest im more worried about portland and boston back home

its what ive said since day 1. his shooting isnt as big a problem as his ball handling and comfort in the paint/at the rim. he may never become a shooter but it wont matter if you can help him become even a college level player ball handling and finishing wise. he plays hard and is enough of an athlete where he can get you points on hustle alone like tonite. not everyone needs to be a 3 and d guy

the second best part of a nets win? reading this thread on the celtics board and licking their salty tears:

HAHAH!!! those drunks got sobered up real quick.

Yeah yeah, of course the odds are against us versus the Clips, they are a top 3 team in the league. I'll punt that game. we're not ready.

Versus the Lakers though? i like our chances

and lol @ them realizing now that if we can win games without Lin, just wait til we get him back. and IW.

and LeVert is coming.

Whatever drunk celtics fan in that thread said it best: we are not a bottom 10 team. we may have to win ugly and bomb threes but i'll be damned if anyone can say we're bums. these guys are competitors.

sucks we have to play the clippers next but who knows. lets hope they play hard. I don't think Doc Rivers will let the clips walk into a game underestimating this team.

This summer league game sold me on Rondae's talent level. I thought I'd never see him do something like this at the NBA level with Hollins at the helm.

Remember when Lionel Hollins first inserted RHJ into the starting lineup while we were 0-6 because the FO forced him to do it? LOL

RHJ on steroids, no one would give him crap if he can play with this level of energy.

The Lakers game is winnable...Clippers and Thunders will be harder to win, but if they can only get the W against L.A, that should be a very successful road trip considering Lin/Whitehead weren't playing.

Just keep in mind RHJ was being defended by Devin Booker. While this is a great game by RHJ, It's not really saying much being that Booker was defending him.

I had 2/10,3/10 for Nets first 20 games and 28 wins for the season. It looks like it was too conservative.

RHJ and Booker have been great man...Once Lin comes back, my prediction of 41 wins and play off birth may come true after all.

Lopez may not be traded if they keep winning games..At least not during the season...Most likely during the off-season.
