The intelligence level and ignorance as a whole there is astounding, especially considering everyone there wants to pretend they're an expert on everything NBA when they don't even understand what restricted free agency is and how a salary cap works and then throw little condescending jabs through their posts.
It's pretty much the only place outside the Knix Board on here where I get mad on the internet.
That is what NetsDaily is... the Nets version of the RealGM Knix Board multiplied by the General Board.
Its been like that since day 1...It starts and stops at the wiretap...the rest is torture...

You know obviously I was over the top ranting, and there are some really good posters over there and some just out and out funny less serious ones, so I hate to group everyone together and label them, it's just that a majority over there dead on remind me of the worst of the worst on RealGM and with the sheer amount of posters on that board that majority is quite large.

Leave me be, let me break down my teams:
1) Nets - Enough said
2) Jets - We just got Tebow, this is going to be an absolute disaster unless we somehow draft really well.
3) Mets - Yes we lost Reyes, but we have Johan back and a pretty healthy squad compare to last season and despite how crappy our roster was last year, we hugely punched above our weight. I'm fairly optimistic about this team. I expect us to be below .500, but lose a lot of close games.
See, what I'm working with, I need something to lower my blood pressure

He clearly wants him gone.

Oh how quickly we forget a 13 year postseason drought from the early 80's until mid 90's...

I was born in 87, I was too young to remember/suffer that terrible stretch.
But in all seriousness, what the hell are the Mets doing? They're handing out contracts to mediocre players with limited upside, they didn't even attempt to sign Reyes (who I disliked but the guys is a star) and while everyone in their division is either contending for a playoff spot (Philly, Atlanta) or building their way there for the near future (nats, miami) the Mets just seem satisfied with what they have for some reason. I seriously think they're gonna be a bottom 5 team in the league this year.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
I have no idea what they're doing, especially in a sport where a high draft pick isn't even that important whether for upside or trade value.

It probably has something to do with not having a farm system and being bankrupt.

We've been bankrupt for the last couple of years, so that plays a part in not attempting to sign Reyes and why it's difficult for us to improve our roster. Ever since we got Alderson as our GM. He's done nothing but wonders, managed to get Zach Wheeler for a one year rental of Beltran was a genius move in his part, I believe he also drafted Matt Harvey and found a nice gen in R.A. Dickey and finally extended Niese. We might be a scrubby team now but it is looking up. Last year we were massively punching above our weight, we had no right to be that close to .500

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
I still don't understand why Reyes wasn't dealt when they knew damn well they weren't going to resign him.

They must've thought that they at least had the chance, I mean we were literally getting wins we shouldn't have due to how crappy our roster looks and I guess they thought they could convince him to stay.
Sort of like Orlando with Dwight, except the Mets wasn't dealing with an oversized child

Re: Random Thoughts Thread III
"The bankrupt excuse is a poor one. It would have been in their best interest to take out a loan or something and pay Reyes. During the season Mets fan had argument regarding which team has the best player, even though I think Cano > Reyes, it's at least arguable. Now? Who do they have? Outside of Johan Santana and maybe David wright they have no exciting players. They're gonna have a rough time selling tickets.
Whatever... I know a lot of Mets Fans. It's fun rubbing their crappy team in their faces. No offense treiz.
