This Kyrie stuff is insane. He's been out for the last 3-4 games and salty Knick and Celtic fans + the media still can't keep his name out of their mouth.

Our offense has gone from near elite with Kyrie + LeVert to really good with Kyrie to bottom of the league bad without Kyrie. The narrative people are spinning is actually crazy.

You are talking about 2 huge fanbases not known for being able to let it go when someone leaves.

Ray Allen and Rondo helped win boston titles and they eviscerated those guys on their way out dragging them through the mud.

Knicks fans are jsut delusional and cant handle that their little bro bested them in free agency... i mean they are STILL pushing that Randle > Durant thing on their board

Kyrie could avg 50/10/10 and win a title and they would still dog him

Oh please. People love Rondo in Boston.

Also, the Ray Allen thing was not the FO. It was KG, Pierce, and Rondo that “dragged him through the mud.” Of course the fans are gonna be bitter if his damn teammates were, lol.

summary:
- impingement is either something he's anatomically predisposed to or related to rotator cuff muscle (possible tear or weakness)
- rehab would be focusing on strengthening the supporting muscles and reducing inflammation of the impinged muscles
- must be brought under control before resuming basketball activities otherwise it's likely to recur or lead to requiring surgery (if related to rotator cuff)

Thanks for that.

One thing I'm not quite understanding is the idea that Kyrie is potentially predisposed to this stuff. That seems like a rather remote possibility, given that he's been balling out for something like 15-20 years, now.

Anyway, I hope his rehab goes well, and he's able to strengthen the surrounding area.

Also, this kind of thing is again why I think it's a reasonable idea to rest him on B2B's in the future. For some reason the idea of that seemed to offend Nets fans here, but he's got both this issue and potential knee issues to look out for. I'd rather have him in primo shape for the playoffs (knock on wood) than worry about individual wins.

There's a sliding scale for anatomical predisposition. If that's the cause of the impingement I'd imagine that he'd have a lower tolerance for inflammation of the relevant muscles before impingement would cause a positive feedback loop leading to further inflammation.

Kendrick Perkins is saying on Twitter that Kyrie chose to fake an injury since the beginning of the season to miss the Cs game.

As if his whole world revolves around getting booed in Boston. Nobody cares lol. Delusional.

Read on Twitter

Right, and that's why he wears that anti-impingement wrap. And the Nets trainers & medical staff are obviously a bunch of incompetents or frauds. And just to make the scam look more convincing, everyone decided to have Kyrie skip a bunch of other games, as well.

ESPN, you didn't really do your due diligence on this knucklehead, did you? Either that, or you're devolving in to little more than a den of trolls at this point.

lol SMH @ Perkins and the media. We would not be resting our star while we are down with a 5-8 record if he wasn't really hurt. I have no problem doing the load management thing for Kyrie, he's been battling injuries his whole career. But the way He started this season off with a bang and the way he was shooting his last 2 games u can clearly tell there was something affecting him. He was also playing pretty heavy minutes to start the year off. If it takes him 2-3 weeks to get back then so be it. We need our guys to be 100%.

Let them talk. We know for a fact that Irving's efficiency tanked as soon as he got hurt and the Nets are a top class organization that doesn't treat player health as a joke.

Frankly there's going to be a ton of **** talked about Kyrie and KD over the next few years. Rumors and conjecture started by media heads for ESPN because both guys are targets for controversy.

Win games. That's all that matters.

I wouldn’t mind the fabrications from legitimate media members but it’s coming from scrubs who shouldn’t even have a job discussing sports, if this is your highlight package:

rondo was dogged his last year and on the way out. time healed those wounds. it has a bit with allen as well. both guys got killed by fans when they left.

Boston is the worst in pro sports for not being able to move on or appreciate players. its part of why stars wont go there

the idea that Kyrie faked an injury for 8 games just so he could miss a game vs boston is idoitic.

if thats the case he would have not missed any other game and had the "flu" or a "groin pull" the game before boston.

No I'm saying we we was 5-8 when Kyrie sat with the shoulder injury. Or maybe we was 5-7. My point is we wouldn't just rest him for 2 weeks if he didn't have a injury.

I would guess that the Kyrie - Perkins stuff started sometime when Perk was warming the bench in Cleveland. He was hating on Kyrie hard last year. It's definitely something personal. You've got to be a true idiot to think Kyrie is faking an injury to avoid Boston. Stupidity and hatred is always a bad combination.

This team being in the media spotlight this year has been interesting. Narratives in the nba are so hot or cold and some players get targeted for blacklist more than others. Kyrie is just polarizing enough that hes one of those people
