And that's despite Philly having some very inconsistent shooters. Redick and Curry were the only great 3-point shooters they ever had.
So Simmons is already the best in the NBA at assisting 3-pointers, and now that he's surrounded by elite all-time shooters, he'll be the best of all-time.
Even in last year's playoffs Simmons averaged 8.8 assists per game, and that's supposed to be the worst he's ever played
Do you have any YouTube ( or some other provider ) videos of complete games. I'm doing some research on Ben these days. If no that's OK, thanks in advance.
Nah, I never watched Philly's games, most of its just Embiid at the free-throw-line

Of course it leads to more open threes. Bens strength is getting stops/rebounds and getting out in transition, which leads to a ton of open transitions threes. Nets are 28th in the NBA and transition 3-point attempts.
Also, when he gets a small on him or switched on to him and bullies him in the post it draws double teams, and he is elite passing out of them

I mean, he couldn't even get on a plane 10 days ago, and just got steroid injections to relieve pain. Has anyone had a worse season then the Nets PR? constantly putting out unrealistic stuff that turns out to be completely false while hiding key information?
I'm sure Curry is probably done for the year and needs surgery also and they just dont want to say it

Not a surprise and really a smart move.
Let him heal, give him a full training camp and get him ready to go next year.
If this Nets team can get out of the play-in without him, its a lost season anyhow.

Exactly. Rushing him back to play playoff level basketball is just asking for an injury.

I miss our old team.... players who give a **** about winning and tried their hardest on the court.
But sucks but not surprising to hear about Ben. The NETs organization is literally stringing us along to keep the fan base into buying into them, tickets or other merchandise.... not cool and very unwise.

Don't shoot the messenger but he literally has zero incentive to play unless the Nets start fining him.
According to Wojnarowski, Simmons received a $16.5 million advance of his $33 million salary, so there wasn't enough money in each paycheck to cover the per-game deductions. As a result, the 76ers were withholding nearly $1.3 million of Simmons' salary in each of his paychecks.
"That has continued since the trade to the Nets, who were made to deduct salary from Simmons' pay to wire the 76ers," Wojnarowski wrote, according to his sources.

It may or may not be relevant. From Simmons perspective how much incentive is there for him to play when he won't receive any game checks?

So winning is not a priority. That sounds familiar.

I'm not saying you're wrong as it relates to his fit on the Nets because it's impossible to know but Philly was 26nd in open 3's with Simmons in the lineup last year and 23rd the year before that. You could argue that spacing could be improved with Kyrie/KD vs some of the shooters Philly had and that's valid but in the half court Ben ruins floor spacing due to his unwillingness to shoot outside the paint so if anything he hurts spacing in the half court. Your transition points will absolutely go up. No arguments here.

Re: The Official Ben 10 Simmons Thread
Will we even see Ben this season? I doubt it if he's going the legal way to get his $$ back from Philly.
I still do that trade 10/10 times. Curry and Drummond fill huge needs for this team + the picks are always nice.
If Simmons can give us ANYTHING that's just the cherry on top in my view.

I heard on several podcasts and seen couple bloggers talk about Ben doing work. They spoke about couple weeks for Ben being getting in shape. It'll mean game 5 vs Bucks or something like that.

Re: The Official Ben 10 Simmons Thread
I'm hopeful that we see him. I called it long ago, the injury is legit, and part of the holdup was the money that Philly was withholding. We are simply the collateral damage from their tug of war. I imagine our front office knew to expect this before the trade, it doesn't make it easier for us fans to stomach.

Looks like Game 2 or 3 of the 1st round to me.

Let's not get carried away -- he's just doing solo work in that footage... That might be all his back can handle for the next couple of weeks or so. Pushing too much too soon could only result to further setbacks.
When he's finally up to participating in 3-on-3 drills, then maybe we can optimistically speculate that he's 2 to 3 weeks away from making his Nets debut... If the Nets are still around in the post-season by that time, that is.
