You didn't see the quote where Brown said that mgmt wanted him back, but someone else didn't?
Fans and some media have been looking at Durant since then, maybe because it's hard to know who else it might have been. Also, I think there was some kind of kerfuffle between them while they were both players here.
Since then, Durant seem to be doing his best to confirm it, in his own bumbling, roundabout way.

He just said he wants to come back, but it might be a tough decision.
