Yogi is still too tentative... he is a dynamic scorer and play maker, the kid can really shoot and drive... i hope he breaks out sooner, they team needs him

the fact that he gets easily pressured bringing the ball up is alarming.

NBA PGs should at least at bare minimum should be able to make defenders think twice about reaching in for steals. Tonight and in the Knicks game guys went right after him on the dribble trying to strip him.

that's not a good sign.

i think he's playing scared honestly. he needs to let loose.

Biggest thing about RHJ's game? He did it all while holding a stud like Booker to 5-18 shooting.

Inconsistent? i'll give you that. Terrible? not sure if serious.

Bojan nailed a huge 3 in the 4th when PHO was making a run. he has his purpose.

Devin Booker's shooting said a lot about Rondae's defense though

who is going to be a better all around player? Rondae or Devin Booker?

Definitely Rondae that's easy but not as good on offense.

Booker is a beast. Lets not go that far. He started heating up in that 4th til we pulled away.

Well, in terms of impacting the game, Booker is not a clear cut winner here... Rondae has better instincts on both ends, he is lack of skills... skills can develop, you can't teach those instincts though...

The pick should be in the 3 to 5 range. 6th at worst. Only team worse than the Nets are the Philadelphia Sixers, and New Orleans Pelicans.

I wonder how someone can say this when their team is 5-4 and our team is 4-5?

Celtic fans are just dumb.

RHJ is a stat filler yes, but Booker is one of those guys that could be dropping 25 per game easily once he gets it together.

That pass for Harris was huge as well...

He was still terrible though. Especially every time he tries get through screens.

He just can't have a great game when everyone is stepping up. He is not meshing with the team.

I don't think we will beat the Clippers. But we should have a good chance against the Lakers and maybe even the OKC if our team is hot hitting the threes. I just don't respect the Lakers as a good team right now despite them playing well early season.

I think our record could be 5-7 or 6-6 after the road trip. It's not bad at all considering all the injuries. But if we some how get to 6-6 or 7-5, can we start dreaming of 8th seed right now? :P

Funny because we have only played 2 of the worst 8 teams according to the standings.

you expect Celtic fans to rely on facts to prove a point?

And one of the best part of all this is that the Nets owe some of their early success to the Celtics

That Celtics game where they allowed us to come back from a huge deficit in garbage time and nearly steal it at the end, forcing their starters to go back in, was a real teachable moment. It taught this team to never give up no matter what, because you can come back.

While that principle may be something players can be told, it's another thing to actually experience it and see it happen in front of your eyes. It's a teachable moment and positive reinforcement for the team, giving them the confidence to know that they can pull it off. The ending of that Boston season opener set the tone thanks to the Celtics slacking off and letting the Nets back in during garbage time.

Part of the Nets success is thanks to the lazy Celtics teaching this team what they can accomplish if they never quit  The Celtics only have themselves to blame for helping the Nets solidify their identity of Brooklyn grit with a teachable moment.

Its a bit too early for that. guys are still establishing roles. a week ago you had Lin fans wanting RHJ demoted to the d league.

there is no way on earth he has better offensive instincts. booker is as polished a 2nd year offensive players as you will see. he was held in check tonite but was coming off back to back 38 points games. lets not go overboard in the other direction because of a great game by rhondae.

knee jerk here needs to calm down. its either "cut this guy" or he is some future star the next day

Lol They are absolutely delusional. The pick would be 13th today and the Celtics would be giving us their 18th pick. Both teams might end up drafting in the same tier and talent level.

The mid-lotto and late first round crop of talent in this upcoming draft blows away last year's class. Celtic fans acting like we can't get a pretty good prospect ourselves.

could easily be 4-8 after the trip and 5-10 after the homestand when we get back. even if that did happen thats still a 27-28 win pace with a new coach, injuries, and winning not being priority #1.

going back home 5-7 and splitting with boston and portland would be big. going home 6-6 would be huge

15? he averaged 14 last year as a rookie in just 27 minutes a night and is at 22 this year coming into tonight.

It's funny how the Nets are doing better and better while they keep losing point guards. Proof KA is a genius at development.

it helps we run the motion offense and not much creation is required from the PG spot... we just need them to get over half court and make that first pass and screen away. obviously lin back will be a huge boost... but it helps that we dont need to run a ton of pick and roll to get shots

Return to Brooklyn Nets
