Dude, that video was literally taken 2 weeks after he was traded.

and dragged through the mud the entire season prior, through the trade, etc...

he was evicerated and called a me first ego maniac. similar to kyrie.

Ray Allen also killed

no city is worse to former players, even guys who won titles

I think you are confusing things with how Dallas treated Rondo. You do you, though, Prok. Won’t mess with your thread more than this. See ya around.

Who cares? Boston fans still don’t get we’ve owned their heads for the last 10 seasons?

Celtic fans have come out the woodwork over the last 8 seasons to rant on the following:

- Draft Picks (How did the James Young pick turn out?)
- Isiah Thomas
- Drafting Fultz #1
- Signing KD in 2016. It was a “lock”.
- Creating a “dynasty” with our picks.
- Landing Kyrie w/ Nets pick.
- Kyrie staying w/ AD.
- Kyrie leaving.
- Kemba being better than Kyrie.

Am I missing any more of their sad narratives?

I really despise the Kyrie haters, sometimes.

In the announcement post post about Spencer winning POTW, the very first comment was about turning the award in to a mocking of Kyrie, implying that he's obviously making the team worse.

I tried to settle that down, and immediately it starts up again from a different angle (blaming Kyrie for Fro's slow start).

Now I'm all for calling someone out as appropriate, but this is ridiculous. This is just some eyes-closed, hateful narrative stuff at this point. Screw these people.

Does anyone have any estimations on the length of Kyrie's absence? It's been... 2 weeks already? And he's already been declared out for this week right? Just hoping to see the guy back soon.

Sounds like he'll be back Friday against Boston at home.

I'd say-- 1) the Markinson Nets are notoriously tight-lipped on injury / recovery situations, so there's that; 2) Kyrie's specific injury is one of the more complicated situations, with multiple potential factors (such as how much a rotator cuff tear might be involved).

I actually kind of like how this is working out for the time being. DWid with the increased playing time has greatly been able to untrack himself, and more bench & rotation players are getting extra burn, Musa in particular. Sort of like the current Warriors situation, that stuff may pay some nice dividends down the road when the Nets three best players come back, hopefully all this season.

I think as MDB also pointed out-- this also gives Kyrie an extended chance to see how the team looks and plays without him.

They're starting to get on my nerves. They don't watch any of the games but they assume the Nets are better without Irving, when in reality we have had to grind it out versus bad teams. I bet none of them understand how awful the Nets become when Spencer goes to the bench.

When people have agendas and try to push biased narratives they very rarely rely on the truth.

Maybe I'm over the line by posting this in a bball thread, but these people strongly remind me of all the tools who still think Hillary Clinton has a 'checkered past.'

Doesn't matter that it was 99% just right-wing BS narrative designed to discredit her. No, the school of fish collectively took the bait because they liked that narrative a lot more than facts & reality.

In the same way, like you point out, the Kyrie haters aren't even bothering to watch the games.

The Nets are 4-7 with Kyrie. How many of those games that we lost were Kyrie's fault?

I recall us losing because of rampant turnovers and missed FTs. Kyrie wasn't a turnover machine nor was he missing FTs. We also got inconsistent play from pretty much everyone. Now things are starting to level out a bit and you can see that when we do get Irving and LeVert back this team is going to be really good.

And his last 3 games (against western playoff teams) where he struggled with his shot we now know he was dealing with the shoulder impingement. 2 of those games we would have won if he had an average shooting performance.

What a terrible TOXIC teammate. Wow. Just. Wow. Trade him ASAP.

Following Friday’s game, Robert Williams did reveal what his quick conversation with Irving was centered around.

“I look at him as like one of my old heads, like a big brother to me,” Williams said, via MassLive. “He just asked about my daughter. Asked how she’s been. I appreciate that about Ky, just staying in touch. It’s always things about basketball, and things about life, so I appreciate that all the time.

“He does that a lot. Ky shows love. He’s a big brother to me.”

Well it looks like he's going to be out several more weeks. It was 2 games last weekend, last week it was 3 games. It looks to be a serious injury. We might as well just think of it as Kyrie won't be back until the new year in january. I expect Levert to be back soon before him.

The new "report" that came out literally has zero team sources. Just spoke to random doctors about what a shoulder impingement is. He could've done that when they first reported this. Probably some weird journalist way of firing back against the Nets for not leaking any info.

If he's back to doing on court work, I doubt he's out for several more weeks.

We'll see. The next update we're getting is when he's available to play or after he gets surgery

I don't mind them going slow with Ky and it taking as long as it needs. Also I love seeing Din getting this much burn. He's not Ky. He doesn't have to be. The team's not better without Ky. Don't care about all that noise. What I do care about is that Din is showing that he's not just a starter, he's an all-star caliber player. That is fking amazing considering his journey and how he fell into our lap.

For anyone who noticed yesterday, Kyrie Irving had a Doctor Sebi t shirt on underneath his blazer.

That’s one of the coolest things he’s ever done. Dr. Sebi’s first holistic health, the Ogun Health Institute (now renamed Fig Tree Health) clinic was located right on the soil where Barclays was built. That among the other localized community landmarks is the only reason why there was pushback amongst Brooklynites accepting the Nets.

I think Kyrie understands that as well.

Yeah I wasn't surprised to see him wearing it I think he's into holistic stuff from what I remember.
