This is why you can't give Marks or Tsai a pass.

ok so even know how things turned you would have turned down kyrie and kd?

with hindsight what would you change that has nets in a better position today and/or had them in first place for even a day the last 2.5 years?
Would have rather satbin mediocrity than ride the roller coaster we hust rode.

We are now the laughing stocks of the NBA end result. Things are about end results.

i've never heard someone outwardly prefer mediocrity but i respect you for putting an honest take out there.

I would not have given them all the power from the start in desperation to get them. I wouldn't have done all the ridiculous things they wanted from day 1.

And if they only come here if we agree to all that then so be it. Thats why they didn't go the Knicks. Dolan was never going to let them call all the shots.

You don't fire Atkinson. You don't sign Deandre Jordan. You don't hire Steve Nash. You don't do any of the dumb things they wanted to do.

the world you just described is treadmill mediocrity that wouldn't have spent a single day in first place and would have resulted in fewer assets than they have today.

if you think principled mediocrity was a better alternative then that's where we agree to disagree.

Yes mediocrity is far more preferable than an epic disaster. Which is exactly what we set ourselves up for.

It wasn't worth it. At all.

what asset of consequence have they lost that they havent already gained back?

if you preferred quiet mediocrity that's your choice. or if you want disquiet mediocrity you can root for the knicks. surely nobody has ever considered their last 2 decades an epic disaster or embarrassing.

Our own draft picks until 2028. And our reputation as a competent franchise.

How is this even a question?

Everyone is far more impressed with us rebounding from it than considering us incompetent. Everyone clearly saw how Kyrie effects things. NYC is still not going anywhere.

would you trade every pick on this list (plus the 5 seconds for crowder) to get back the 2 net FRP and 3 pick swaps outstanding after this year?

if so you would be trading 6 firsts (5 unprotected) and 1 pick swap for 2 firsts and 3 pick swaps.

the KD trade definitely started the domino effect, lots of pieces moving early.

Trading Bridges would be insanity.

He's showing signs of being a #2 type wing player(Jaylen Brown level) on a really nice contract.

It’s unfortunate we had 5 grown guys who couldn’t for once sit down and set their priorities to be on the same page , it never even happened , 3 of those it’s not our problem anymore , sadly remaining 2 is still at the wheel of the bus

1 Durant ( wannabe leader ) on paper but when s$it hit the fan he was always quiet and huge Kyrie enabler

2 Kyrie ( wannabe boss) center of attention, basketball was never his no 1 priority in Brooklyn, constant drama

3 Harden , he came here for an easy ride to championship ( that’s what he thought) once he find out it’s not gonna be that easy he bailed in a second

This three is gone and I’m happy about it , sad part is this team still have 2/5 of the problem and it looks like they’re not going anywhere

4 Marks , it’s GM job to keep communication with coaches players , yet he allowed for this cluster f@ck to continue for a three years

5 Tsai , the worse of all , Billionaire shmuck who all of a sudden decided to be a GM and made things even worse

This team never had Spurs culture, Marks being connected to them doesn’t made us to be Spurs culture

with everything in discussions right now it would be great if the nets can snag vanderbilt in return for sending curry to LAL.

im more luke warm on swapping simmons/westbrook because that's just a $ move, but vanderbilt would be a great buy low young back big behind claxton.

I'm not sure if that's true but got at least give him space/time to get there.

I hope your optimism is right

I would attach a first rd pick to Simmons if Utah traded him to us so we can buy him out.

Damn you guys cleaned up on the KD trade. Congrats.

I'm sure it's bittersweet ending the superteam for good but you're very well set up for the short and longterm future.
