I hope this is true. We may end looking like bandits.
--One of the final straws for Nets ownership came around the trade deadline. Kidd advocated for a trade with the Bucks that would sent Brook Lopez and Mirza Teletovic to Milwaukee for the deeply troubled Larry Sanders and Ersan Ilyasova. The suggestion, mostly about Kidd's belief that Lopez couldn't fit in his system, was considered and rejected by the Nets brass.
--Kidd was angered by the Nets decision to trade for Marcus Thornton rather than Jarrett Jack, who he believed would have been a better fit. Nets ownership believe that Kidd's ultimate ambition was to dump Billy King, with whom ownership remains quite satisfied. Kidd believes that King and Nets ownership do not have a long term plan and are too opportunistic.

Lopez needing to go, Wanting to bring in more defense at Center, King being a bad GM.... but what scares me most is:
"kidd belies nets ownership do not have a long term plan" which might singal that the team doesnt really have a good grasp on what needs to be done to get a star in 2016

We tried to acquire Jack for the package of Terry and Evans, but the Cavs turned it down. Thornton was the backup plan.

Sanders isnt a headcase or a locker room cancer. rehab, yes but the other 2 comments are not accurate. This also would have been long BEFORE sanders was sent to rehab, which needs to be considered. either way, Kidd was looking to move lopez which would have been a huge blessing for this franchise. clearly king wants to keep him, and its going to come back to bite us in the butt
as far as 2016-17, sanders is a guy you WANT on the team long term. a potoential 1st team all defense center. having him at 11 million you can still easily max out durant and get some other pieces.
adding money to 16-17 is only an issue when its a guy you wont keep around who isnt a young player. We tried to acquire Jack for the package of Terry and Evans, but the Cavs turned it down. Thornton was the backup plan.
that was the report. maybe it was the nets who didnt want to go that route.

Sanders has had 1 good season.
-He broke his hand in a bar fight.
-Was suspended 5 games for violating the anti-drug policy\
-Had runs in with the law
-Was garbage when he played this past season
$34 million would be tied up between DWill and Sanders. Would KD want to come play with them? I highly doubt that. And no they wouldn't have room for much more after that. Add in $20 million for KD you're at $54, plus Plumlee's $2 million and cap holds your at $60 so we'd have $9 million to offer, not getting anyone great with $9 million,
