The truth is in the body language. It's pretty easy to read that on Harden's end. Proky lives in the same universe as Kyrie which has little contact with life here on earth. They probably have reached a stalemate and now one side has to cave in.

Harden is hurt, has the worst coach in the league and is being run into the ground. of course his body language is frustrated

the idea he is tanking is absurd. dude is hurt

Just look at what's going on and you'll figure it out. It takes two to tango. Marks said f*** Morey I'm good here.

It's the other issues that fuel this situation. Harden being on the bench last night said it all. No leaks needed.

If Harden requested a trade, the question becomes Why did he request a trade? (and if the Nets are in discussions further along than due diligence, then he requested a trade)
Brooklyn was a team he requested to get traded to.
Hes pulled this crap before...

Does he know how bad that looks for him? Does he just not care because the Nets situation is so bad, he doesnt care about looking so bad?

If thats the case, how bad could it be? It cant just be about wins and loses, KD is injured....

And the solution is to add Simmons to that?

Pay close attentions to the words used in the various reports. Woj says there are no negotions; no "back and forth." That doesn't mean they're not talking, but the talking could be just one way. My guess is Marks has made his price known to Morey, who keeps throwing a bunch of different things against the wall to see if Marks will budge. Just a bunch of one way offers, with no new counters.

My guess is it's $$$. Specifically the # of years Tsai is willing to pay crazy tax for this big 3. They're not doing themselves any favors with the team's performance this year. Even when we were atop the Eastern Conference, we hadn't looked good against other top teams. You have to believe Tsai & Marks are having the same commitment concerns to maxing out Harden until 38.

If you're Joe Tsai, you have to have second thoughts about maxing out both Harden and Kyrie. Harden especially due to how his game has declined this season.

I would trade Kyrie and fire Nash. Those are the two biggest problems. If you can land some 3-D players back for Kyrie. Hell I would take Grant alone for him. I bet if you alleviate those two issues JH would be more than happy.

Sadly we have no other option but max out Harden. Gave up our souls to get him for the near future.

If you think Harden and Tsai both showed up last night was a fluke, I think to differ. Also if guys from the video correct about Marks / Tsai pulling back from Kyrie extension, than we have some summer that coming our way quick.

Morey playing with fire. Marks has very high chances in keeping both Kyrie and Harden this off-season.

Kyrie will sign any extension going his way. No team will hive him long term max. Marks can play his hand hard, he knows if no deal will be done, Kyrie will exercise his PO guaranteed.

Harden is hall another story. This guys has multiple options in his hand. Need to monitor what he's doing.

It would be funny if no trade happens, and then the Sixers get hit with tampering penalties in the offseason.

Pretty much means we hold leverage; Marks is smart, he knows the deal will be there in the off season. Only thing I really pray for is we win the ship so that when it comes down to it, we dump Harden and not the other way around. We S and T to him Philly draining them of their depth and soul. 8-)

Main goal is resigning Harden, rest is meh. Kyrie will commit once he figure his money can look really funny. Starting with that Nike deal.

I don’t want to extend a 33 year old Harden.

I agree but a lot will depend on the mandate situation. Iam not even sure Kyrie can be in and out during the playoffs plus getting there is going to be taxing with only 10 games left for Kyrie. If the mandate lifts then Durant can fix the discord that is going on right now and we have a really good shot.

I Love Harden and no matter what happens im thankful for his time here....

But it s hard for me to envision that 1.5-2 years from now he hasnt put on weight lost another half step and his 55M per year contract being the hottest meme around town.

Kyrie obviously has his availability and predictability issues but at the very least you can count on him to stay in shape, have his game age well and he is 3-4 years younger then Harden.

Hypothetically speaking, if we get Simmons and Thybulle, can we go get Landale and Goorjian too?

What exactly is this team going to look like if Harden comes back?

Marks needs to do something if not the Harden trade. We need some change.

This team is just **** awful. I can't watch it anymore.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
