I have a weird feeling he and this team will surprise a lot of people next season. Let's hope for an injury free season especially for our key guys Lopez + Lin.
He might end up being our best PG since JKidd days. Just a gut feeling. No, I didn't forget about Dwill and Harris.

I am a Lin homer, but to put things in perspective, no way is Lin at JKidd's Level.
JKidd is a future Hall of Famer and falls within the top 10 PG of all times.

Top 10, I don't know. But JKidd was a great player, one of the top and at times the top PG when he played. And on both ends of the floor.

Jason Kidd is 2nd all time in assists, 3rd all time in career triple doubles. There is no debate that Jason Kidd is one of the ten best PGs to ever play on an NBA court. This is not up for debate.
Jason Kidd was the type that could impose his will upon a game on both ends of the floor with his elite team defense and god tier passing ability. He could score zero pts in a game and still be the best player on the floor at all times. You cannot say that about many players. He was a god tier player. GOD tier. 1st ballot HOF.
The only way we can say "Lin" and "Kidd" in the same sentence regarding the Nets is only if Lin's impact can come close to what Kidd did his first year here. We were destined to be one of the 5 worst teams in the league the year we acquired Kidd. Kidd transformed this team into one of the most potent fast break attack teams the league had seen in some time and a top tier defensive club. Running teams out of the damn gym. Punishing alley oops. Gritty playoff wins.
Lin has a lot of work to do to even come close to that level.

“He is very humble and plays extremely hard no matter if he makes a mistake or makes a fantastic play,” Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd said.

Then the next time they met, Kidd pulled Lin to the ground by his hair. Some said that's possibly how Lin tore his meniscus.

It's pretty clear that the PG spot has been upgraded big time.

Kidd was a great PG, but he's definitely not a particularly nice guy.

Sources: Chris Bosh speaks with Rockets.
Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh had his first direct conversation with Houston Rockets management on Monday morning, inching closer to the possibility of a four-year, $80 million-plus contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Houston has emerged as Bosh's top choice, should he leave the Heat, sources told Yahoo Sports. The circumstances make the Rockets a natural fit for him. Bosh can play the power forward spot alongside All-Star center Dwight Howard. He can get a maximum contract deal starting in the $20 million range annually. And he can compete for a championship in his home state of Texas, where a partnership with Howard, James Harden and restricted free agent Chandler Parsons makes the Rockets a most formidable threat in the Western Conference.
Houston still needs to unload Jeremy Lin to make space for a max contract offer, but has contingencies in place to get a trade done upon the commitment of a free-agent player, sources said.

“Hey man, if anybody here needs a team to root for, feel free to join the Nets fan base and come root for us,” Lin said. “I would love to bring as many people as we can to this organization and hopefully we’ll be able to create that following and that momentum and that environment that we would love to have.”
BrookLin! BrookLin!
Melo's another year older, Noah and Rose aren't the same. They've got KP tho.
Extra motivation.

Knicks probably will be worst than last season. On paper, the team look great and more importantly, a real coach. HOWEVER, there is a chemistry problem and health issue with Rose and Noah.
Rose needs the ball, so as Melo. Both are volume shooter. Not sure where that going to leave KP. This season is also Rose contract season, I expect him to pad his stats even more.
