I can understand now why Cav fans covet our pick. their team is full of dog ass players.

Ty Lue is right...there are too many agendas on the team. How can any player develop a profound feeling of trust when your team's best player has 1 foot out of the door and openly praises the performances of players on other teams?

None of those guys want to be on this team when LBJ leaves.

I never critiqued Kyrie for leaving. He knew there was a nasty storm brewing.

I don't think he had one foot out the door until they traded Kyrie and now if they don't trade the nets pick he's gone

If your Cleveland you can't trade the pick if you think he's gone

How many teams make sense to sign him in the off-season though

It's strange I don't really see a team he fits on maybe the wizards a young veteran team

The pelicans or Portland would be interesting

Put LeBron with lilard and McCollum it's an interesting combo

I think Houston is definitely the frontrunner to land Lebron this summer.

Brian Windhorst seems to be all-in on the Kemba Walker to Cleveland rumors, guessing that would mean Charlotte lands our pick.

Jordan would be a genius to do that. It doesn't look like we may crack the 25 win mark with all of the injury issues as of late.

Houston would have to clear virtually everybody but Harden & Paul to make that happen. That's a lot of draft day selling. I could see somebody taking Gordon, but Anderson will be a very tough to move, especially with a first rounder to trade.

This Cleveland - IT situation is so baffling me to me.

Russell had relatively minor surgery. Nets took their sweet time bringing him back. Once he came back, he's been coming off the bench, on a fairly strict minute limit, and 9-10 games later - he still hasn't played 24+ minutes.

Meanwhile, IT had CAREER ALTERING surgery. People were saying this was an injury that might take him out of the league. And if he came back, he'd never be the same. He was thrown right into the fire - starting 13 of 14 games. He's playing in B2B's now. He's being blamed for all their troubles.

Pure insanity from a "championship organization."

From Rodney Hood trade diary below. Must be tough being on trade block

“My gut feeling is that I won’t be here by the deadline. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but I’ve felt isolated the past month and I would not be surprised if I was moved.

“People have told me to put things into perspective. It’s been tough for me to be in this situation, but it’s part of it. It’s part of the growing process. I just have to continue to get better and continue to learn. Whatever unfolds, I want people to know I stayed a pro and performed. I’m just looking to the future, playing in the playoffs and on a high level. Whatever happens, happens.”

The best part of the evening so far was Kevin Hart shouting to Kyrie Irving that "the earth is not flat!!".

i mean he was busting all of their chops, but that made me laugh so hard

This all star game isn't that bad.

if the players had balls, they'd play for real in the 4th qtr since the score is close.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/249036/SI-Details-Sexual-Harassment-Issues-Within-Mavericks-Franchise

While sources referred to the Mavericks office as a “locker room culture,” the team’s actual locker room was a refuge. Says one female former senior staffer: “I dealt with players all the time. I had hundreds of interactions with players and never once had an issue…they always knew how to treat people. Then I'd go to the office and it was this zoo, this complete ****. My anxiety would go down dealing with players; it would go up when I got to my desk.”

That's horrifying.

kudos to the Mavs players though for not being trash like the garbage that works for their owner.

Culture matters.

So what's everyone's thoughts on all of the playoff 1-16 seeding chatter? I personally hate the idea, and I'm surprised that I never hear my reason why brought up: TV.

Let's assume GSW (0.5 games back) flips with Houston & ends up the #1 seed. Everything else finishes as it is today, and the higher seed wins every playoff round. A lot of assumptions, but by no means a stretch. That means GSW, a west coast team, plays Miami (1st round), Washington (2nd round), Boston (3rd round) & then Houston. That's 3 consecutive coast to coast rounds. I don't know about anybody else, but I hate when the Nets play on the west coast & have those 10:30pm starts. To potentially put fans through 3+ rounds of that is not good for basketball.

I could see sticking to East West for the first 2 rounds, and then replacing the conference finals with 1W vs 2E & 1E vs 2W, but even then you'll wind up with situations where the best or second best team didn't finish with a top record wither due to injury or rest.

Travel isnt near fair if you reseed 1-16 and eliminate conferences. cant happen.

travel is the big issue. I have no problems with them having the top 8 teams from each conference going and reseeding them, but they would have to add extra days for travel and they would need to change up game times. 10:30pm EST playoff games for an east vs west match up are a no no. they will need to play the games earlier like they do in the NBA Finals.
