Re: The Mayor - Spencer Dinwiddie Thread
Spencer is on with Evan on the Fan and this boy has a damn good head on his shoulders.
Didn't think I could like this kid more than I already did.
Hope he remains a Net for a long time.

Re: The Mayor - Spencer Dinwiddie Thread
Sean Marks is going to be executive of the year one day, and Spencer Dinwiddie's ascent will play a big part in that. How in the hell did we get this guy, seriously? skilled, clutch, and intelligent as hell.

From D-League to getting that money. I'm happy for the guy either way.

He’s here for another season and Dec is the deadline, I believe. We have enough time to worry about that later.
Let’s enjoy The Mayor and all of his heroic glory.

He's just a cool and down to earth guy. Smart and super humble. Very interactive on social media too. Easy guy to root for.
He's the kind of player you'd want to be next to in film study, talking to on the bench, or working with on the floor.

Since he's driving more, he's getting more calls. That was the key all along, perhaps? I don't know. He's still Spencer Dinwiddie. But he's becoming Spencer Dinwiddie, a player to be reckoned with. And he's getting calls. 'bout time.

Spencer is just a likeable guy. Really not sure what the teams plan is, but I hope we find a way to keep him.

He needs to stay in Brooklyn but then again there's no loyalty in sports so who knows. I love how when he gets the switch with a slow big on him then he takes that step back then attacks the weak shoulder

he shut his mouth and is forcing the refs to call it.
Also, that last two minute report after the OKC game raised a few questions.

Getting a sense for how some top tier teams would be desperate for a player like Dinwiddie. For all his fantastic skills, physical tools, but also his ridiculously small contract, which for the Nets is nice, but for a team like GS, is an absolute godsend.
I had thought it was a real longshot that the Nets would part with Dinwiddie at this point, because he has been so amazing this year and we don't yet know his ceiling, but now I am wondering how much exactly teams will be willing to part with to get players like Din and Joe Harris, who can clearly fill huge needs, at an infinitesmal cost.

Lol @ that article.
Dinwiddie for Top 28 protected pick and McCaw...no Jordan Bell, no Livingston.
Come on now. People really sit there and think of this nonsense?

this is why I literally want to bang my head against my phone or keyboard every time i read the trades thread. this is really what people on here want to do, trade good players for low value and pray that we draft the next kyle kuzma or jimmy butler

I am not advocating the trade of Din described in the article. That would be crazy
I’m of the view that unless Nets get some blockbuster offers, they should sit out this trade deadline. I’m sitting over here in dread that Marks pulls the trigger too early on a promising player like Din. The trade deadline can’t pass soon enough for me

Re: The Mayor - Spencer Dinwiddie Thread
Dinwiddie is waaaaay more valuable then a McCaw
I like the Warriors but he's not one of the reasons.
Draft picks, assets for him in a trade? why?
They have a starting point guard now move on to another position of need.
Dinwidie's one of the better point guards in the league especially considering his assist to turnover ratio and he's making peanuts.
That's why teams want him...That's why you should appreciate him.
