I actually started watching The Wire a couple months ago. I just finished Season 5 Episode 4 about 2 minutes ago... it's an amazing show.

Breaking Bad is easily the best current show on TV though and possibly of all-time. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it now from the beginning. First 3 seasons are on Netflix.

LOL, I was going to say, since you moved the discussion of the other thread to the Random Thoughts section, you really need to check the Gerald Green thread, lol.

I went to bed last night, and this thread was three posts long. I wake up, see it's four pages, and am lke "wtf? Why is there a thread this long about Gerald Green?" You guys did not disappoint.

There is a misconception, though: Gerald Green is not athletic. He just has great hops, like Joe Alexander. Other than that, he's slow up and down the court, does not have great lateral quickness, and his body control is meh. He can blow out a cupcake candle like a champ, though.

Yea, I remember all my "Battlestar Galactica is better than Lost" arguments back when they aired. Of course, that still holds true 8-)

meh with the signing.

He may get you 20 points a night, but he will give up 30 on the defensive end.

Athletic kid with Deron at pg is never a bad thing. Right now Nets are in the position the Knicks were for the last few seasons of "pick up random scrubs and see who will play well" We found Shawne Williams, who played really well, and then the Nets payed him. EDIT: point being that good rotational guys can be found via opportunities like this. Shawne will be a good player next season when healthy, it is unfortunate that his entire season was hampered by injuries.

I think so too. I still think he was a pointless signing at the juncture he inked, but he was signed with Dwight in mind or at least a healthy Lopez and a healthy him.

Seems like a "can't hurt" type of deal. Nets could also be planning to trade a guy like Morrow for a pick and an expiring and Green could have an actual role.

Normally a Celtics poster, but have watched Green since he came into the league. His overall quickness is just fine. The kid is still a freak athletically, and he is not a dumb basketball player as some of you guys insinuate.

His main problem is that he can't really use all of that athleticism because he is simply not strong enough to play in the league. He got some burn with the Lakers in the short preseason, and he was jammed up quite a bit, or got the ball hit out of his hand a lot. I like him, but he needs to get a lot stronger before he can contribute much.

I don't mean to be a prick, but hey I am, so I love when apologists for whatever player show up in a thread like, "JR Smith isn't a chucker like you insinuate, he's just good shot selection challenged, which was really the fault of the coach and his teammates cause they never let him shoot... or play. He's a fine individual off the court and his driving record is spotless."

Not a bad signing, at least he knows how to finish around the basket and has some hops

I can't believe GG is 26 years old already! I don't know why he could never cut it in the league. One of the most athletic players to come out of the draft in awhile and can shoot too. If JR Smith can make it, why can't Green?

All I know is, he better not take minutes away from Marshon (I have him in my pool) :)
