Proky was his biggest fan and advocate. Demtri Rasumov was recently promoted to president, Rasumov raved about Kodd and convinced Proky into the hire.

Kidd is basically a snake.

Hey man, why'd you post this here, instead of going to some media outlet, or contacting a writer on twitter or something?

Why? So one of those ESPN rats take the credit. I rather share the news with the fans here. ESPN, and the rest of the media have a hard for the heat. They only care about James.

Is there any loyalty that Pierce and KG have to Kidd? Does it matter to them whether he is coach or not?

Paradise wrote:I understand why Kidd tried to run basketball operations but he is totally stupid to leave. Totally.

He just apparently recorded recruitment videos for Livingston, Pierce and KG on Thursday. He met with the Nets on Wednesday to discuss the draft options.

How the hell do you pull this crap during draft/FA?

I think we need to find out when he made his demands and if it's all sorted now.

Garnett and Pierce only care about winning, they are class act off the court and media eyes. Jason Kidd is a different story he got a huge ego.

problem isnt just kidd leaving. what coach is gonna want to come here now? probably the worst landing spot in the mind of a prospective coach. team full of players who dont play hard and are old. and a front office that has had 4 coaches in 3 years, including firing a guy fresh off coach of the month

I said it back in December when we struggling that Kidd is a scumbag and I wouldn't feel bad at all if he was fired. Never expected this, props to the OP for breaking the story. I think those fans of other teams have to realize that if someone came onto their forum who had never posted before and broke news that came completely out of left field you'd have a tough time believing them.

Based on this I'm conflicted. King deserves to lose his job, but Kidd a first year coach doesn't deserve it. Wishful thinking would be King loses his job and we hire a competent respected coach like Jerry Sloan. I realize the first one isn't likely, but hopefully the later is true.

As far as free agency and next year is concerned I hope this doesn't affect our free agency plans. Our goal has to be to keep the team together meaning top 3 goals:
1. Convince KG to take the money and come back for 1 year
2. Convince Pierce to take a 1 year $15 million contract
3. Hopefully and least likely now especially with Kidd gone convince Livingston to stay for the mmle

And don't let the door hit you on the way out Kidd
