The narrative writes itself. I'm pretty pissed off about this.

Like what, though?

Asst coaches are naturally going to change around, but I don't see the point in "wholesale" changes past the obvious. The Nets are an exemplary org staffed with hard-working, accountable people from everything I've read.

Put it to you like this. Remember when Kyrie said there's few changes needs to be made, well expect some furniture to be moved.

And Kyrie is trending on Twitter. Great. Instead of talking about how LeVert should be EC player of the week, the discussion is now Kyrie is a coach killer.

I'm not sure how Tsai (who per Bondy made the call to fire Kenny) and Marks thought this would go, but now the scrutiny is going to become 1000000x worse. Of course public opinion would be to immediately blame Irving.

I'm not putting blame on anyone until we get the whole story, but this is not a good look right now on management and the players, specifically Irving and Durant.

I've always rooted for the laundry, but it's becoming harder. Last year's team was my favorite since the first finals team. First DLo now Kenny.

Purely speculation, but I think Dinwiddie is a big part of it. He did DLo dirty, and I wouldn't put it past him to turn on Kenny. I fear for Marks if Tsai is listening to the players.

That's fair.

Also that's my bad I posted the wrong tweet. There was a writer for The Athletic named Clevis Murray (now deleted tweet) who claims that a source told him Kyrie/KD want Ty Lue or Thibs.

With all due respect, that sounds like a jumble of nonsense.

Knowing how Marks operates and the bond he had with Kenny, I expect the explanation is simply that players were tuning him out over time, i.e. something that happens to 99% of coaches in the league.

I expect all this other speculation is mostly smoke circling the fire. Inhalation not recommended for optimal physical and mental health.

Kyrie's body wouldn't last a season under Thibs.

Truth always comes out sooner or later no matter how some would try to hide it. Both KD and Kyrie known for their ...lets say open mind. Trust me it'll come out sooner rather than later.

Unless something gets revealed I doubt it’s Spencer. Kenny let him do whatever he wanted out there for the most part.

I'm tend to have most unpopular opinions and probably will state one here again. Kenny was great coach for young roster and certainly overachived past season, but he just bumped heads with higher ups when it came to future. He's lack of adjustment ran it's course and it's time to move on. He's system is flowed and we got very limited time to work here.
PS _ I wish him all best and be his fan no matter what. He warned my respect.

I have no doubt Din been involved as well. I know it's hard to believe because he had great success under Kenny but he's also close with Kyrie. Don't underestimate Kyrie here, he just got elected to NBAPA with Temple already in it.

Allegedly after the Boston game some players were questioning Kenny's decision making in the locker room. This probably just isn't Kyrie and KD.

It’s possible no doubt. But it’s hard to see it being him. I can see Kyrie and KD with maybe guys like Chandler, Temple, Prince and Kurucs wanting Kenny gone.

Dont know if it was a kyrie/kd call or not but i wonder if superstars actually care about good coaching or they just want a coach whos relatable/less disciplined/good locker room type ala ty lue. Lebron tried to bring back lue to the lakers. Even giannis didnt want kidd fired
