there is alot of room for improvement. saying "iso" is part of the offense is way to general. i mean, iso vs. PJ tucker isnt the same as using a pick and roll to hunt brook lopez or forbes on a switch and then iso. we saw great offense, all time great... often. we could see it every night. that isnt unrealistic. we leave a ton of possession on the floor. we turn it over a ton, there will always be alot of that, but that can be cut down on. We throw away a ton of possession when 2 stars sit. we can be better in those situations. We can do more to get others involved while still being super star iso heavy.

We can set the tone early. we had tons of 35+ point 2nd-4th quarters.. we had few 35+ point first quarters

im cool with that. id trade #27 for a 10M TPE. thats well worth it IMO. would allow us to take on a potentially better player into that TPE mid season

I mean just being able to re-sign Dinwiddie, or Bruce Brown, or somehow both makes it worth it, by far.

So now we own two 1sts, one of which I'm assuming will be used to dump DeAndre. I'm sad to see Shamet go.

Yeah. I know things didn't go smoothly, but I was willing to give him another shot this upcoming season.

That being said, this trade isn't too bad. Carter gives good effort on the defensive end and adding another 1st round pick is great as well

With such a deep draft Marks has some flexibility here, hopefully just takes one FRP to dump the Jordan situation. We also have the luxury of the buyout and ring chaser market to help us. I know that pisses our haters off but you have to keep in mind who those could be.

Jevon Carter is a really good guard defender. He might be a Bruce Brown replacement too.

Sad to see Landry go, he always played hard yet that shot was so smooth. I'd assume Marks knows we're getting JJ Redick otherwise it leaves a big hole in terms of our shooting

Certainly didn't take long for something to happen. Marks I'd guess is not done for the night.

Take it with a big grain of salt, but Windrem says he's heard that a Dinwiddie S&T may be Kuzma + 22. He emphasizes that it's unconfirmed. That sounds too good to be true in my opinion, unless it includes one of our picks. It would also be dependent on a team (Washington) believing that Dinwiddie won't change his mind for a bigger offer from another team after FA officially opens.

Nets interested in Terry Rozier

Outside of Brooklyn, more than 10 teams have interest in trading for Charlotte’s guard Terry Rozier, the Daily News has learned. The Clippers and Miami Heat are among the teams that have expressed interest, according to a source.

Rozier is coming off of a career year, averaging 20.4 points on 38.9% three-point shooting. His spot-up shooting prowess was on full display in a season where Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball’s playmaking abilities jump-started the Hornets to their most successful season in the post-Kemba Walker era.

Is Harrell a fit though? Undersized big that doesn't really shoot all that well. Not sure he's the type of player Nash would give much run. TBH I'm not really interested in Kuzma (we just traded an underperforming shooter in Shamet, why add another one?) or KCP.

I like what Rozier did last season, but we're really going to trade for him to put him behind Kyrie on the depth chart again? Obviously a lot of things can change in 2 seasons, but I don't think he'd be too happy being traded to a team where he's going to have 0% chance of starting outside of injuries.

Than again maybe we're trading Harris, which would technically open up a spot on the starting lineup... hmm.

So what's this going to yield?

Kuzma and Trez to us, Spencer to WAS, Westbrook to the Lakers?

I mean, I'll take the depth but neither of those guys address concerns. I'd rather take KCP.

I don't mind that as long as it means that we are angling to keep Bruce Brown/Din on the team.

Bruce Brown is barely a replacement level player. There are so many other players that can provide what he does. We tendered his QO. I wouldn’t bat an eye if another team was interested in him and we were able to S&T him for draft capital to use to trade for other players.

KCP is supposedly very close with Beal. I doubt he'd get re-routed.

As mentioned above, Windrem reports unconfirmed chatter of Dinwiddie for Kuzma+22. That would also net a sizeable Trade Exception. That seems unrealistic for multiple reasons. Value-wise: It sounds like a lot for somebody we're unlikely to retain, unless we're including a lower pick(s). Legally: Teams can't talk salary with pending FAs. I know it happens all the time, but who would draft on somebody else's behalf when the S&T player could always change his mind & go elsewhere for a bigger offer.

Kuzma as the principle piece makes sense both salary-wise & value-wise. Trez is not a good fit, and I don't see us wanting the $22+mil of Trez & Kuzma combined. Now if #22 is part salary dump for taking both, that's a different story.

I really hope we’d use the TPE, since they are rarely used. I’d love to be able to get a mobile defender (our version of Tucker), who we can stick on the opposition’s best player and spare KD from guarding them as his primary defensive assignment. KD can just put most of his effort towards the offensive end and be an excellent weak side help defender.

I was hoping we would’ve signed or traded for this type of player last season. It’ll be interesting to see what personnel Marks thinks we should have especially now that MDA and his influence is no longer here.
