With the way things are shaking out, would it be crazy if Din re-signed with the Nets on a 1yr deal or 1+1 PO for around 18-20M?

The contract would be super trade-able during the season as long as he shows he's healthy and back to his old self and would probably net the team some good assets.

I'm sure he prefers something more long terms but the longer he remains a FA, the less likely he gets big money. Why not try to recoup your value in friendly environment in a winning situation?

How much would that add to the tax bill?

Why is it that I feel like we are the only ones being taxed? The Lakers are super top heavy yet they signed like 100 ppl tonight

Hello Brooklyn wrote:Jeff Green is a huge loss. He was easily our 5th best player all season. But played too well for us.

Wanted to get paid.

Makes it more important to keep Blake, who is getting paid nearly 30 mill from the Pistons already.

Were also def losing Dinwiddie. Im hoping we can hold on to Bruce Brown.

I dont think green is a huge loss, or even a big loss. i agree he played well for us, but he is really replaceable and it prevents nash from using a 6'7" SF at center so often. We can stand to improve there, even on a minimum. Defensively he wasnt great. not to know him, he was as good as could be expected. Same with bruce brown, was better then advertized, but really replaceable.

Blake is the guy you cant just replace and he is back, which is huge for us

Green was efficient from three and had some nice finishes in traffic but his defense and rebounding left a lot to be desired.

I'm glad he got paid. He earned that cash.

If we can get Patty Mills, that will be worth the entire MLE.

Miami is now the biggest threat to a title. with Lowry alone jumped them to our top competiion, given lowry is a huge net killer.

Lowry/Butler/Bam are all great on BOTH sides of the ball and they have robinson and herro around them. that team terrifies me.

The way Tucker bodied KD, this scares me. We need to add enforcers, resigning Blake was a relief!

The repeater tax resets once you drop below the tax. it also doenst hit hard until year 2 and 3. If spencer was signed and traded midseason, he wouldnt count towards are tax. tax is counted the last day of the season. just need to cut salary before that

I love Patty Mills. id be happy with the signing.

I dont think he would be in the top 10 things i could think of as far as need goes though. Id rather sign a lesser player who is a better fit if im being honest.

Also, it is VERY possible we dont use the MLE like last year. there are hard cap remifications and the tax ramifications.

What's the allure with Mills? He's a shooter, but not a defender. Enlighten me, guys.
