Oh my god. At least Kyrie kept whatever conspiracy theories he's been brainwashed with to himself. Beal went full on crazy town   YIKES

The NBA needs to get a handle on these idiots.

Andrew Wiggins just tried to get an exemption and the league told he to **** off, and rightfully so. Kyrie is absolutely in the wrong here and I hope seeing how his teammates were all together today while he was at home looking like an absolute fool made him rethink things, but I doubt it.

I’m not vaccinated and I’ve been medically advised not to be. So, I’m one too.

Got it.

Paradise you're my dude, but I'm not gonna derail this thread talking about why you are an antivaxxer. You have clearly made your thoughts known, and if you've been reading what I've been saying, clearly you know we will never see eye to eye on this issue.

Lets just stick to basketball and our squad.

For you personally, I just hope that you are remaining safe.

Personally, I think this forum needs to have some personal character development before criticizing anyone’s reasoning on medical real life issues. I highly doubt anyone here looks in the mirror at how they come off on the forum. It’s off putting and it drives no traffic here.

Mine is more health related than belief related but I do not play the rose tinted glasses game either. I was told not to, twice. This isn’t exactly an okay place to share personal information.

I was nearly beaten to death in June, so I could give a damn about anyone’s short sided opinion when black men can be killed any day in this city with or without it. That led to my medical doctors having to create their own plan for my situation they found on my lower regions which led to more issues medically, so I am not currently in position to take that for my own health until further notice.

Why can others have similar issues right now without judgement? Why does anyone have to DISCLOSE they can’t take it to be respected here? It’s a decision between a human being and their medical doctor.

I have no problem sticking to basketball but this forum has shown it lacks maturity in that area just as equally prior to any pandemic and I’ve stood on that for YEARS. Go back to those Joe Johnson/Nets/Hawks trade heated debates. The “delusional” and “homer” remarks when I knew KD was going to be reality for us in 2020.

A championship squad today but had more REALGM fans during the **** years. I see why a lot of the normal members dropped out.

KD and Kyrie set it straight..

its kyries decision. it effects the teams/fans, but it his decision. He has every right to his decisions and the pros/cons of those decisions. His teammates (publicly) support him. As they always have... from cle to bos to today in BK.

sometimes multiple things that are important to you conflict and push comes to shove. with Nike, he caved a bit. with the NBA/state mandate its more then money though... so we will see. Kyrie isnt the only guy, Beal went full on balls to the wall with what he said. wiggins tried to fight it in GS. if this was NJ instead of NY and kyrie was going to have to sit 4-6 game instead of 40 it wouldnt be amplified. like it isnt with beal.

KYrie is going to do what he feels is right. i support him, even if it hurts my basketball team. Dude's track record for being a good person is pretty good by my count. he didnt create the pandemic or the mandates. maybe he is ignorant, but its not like he is acting our of bad faith for his teammates.

But no one asked you to share why. I haven't asked anyone here their vaccination status. You don't have to explain why you cannot, and I am sorry you are dealing with health concerns.

Being immunocompromised and being unable to be vaccinated is a real thing, no one here is going to judge you, at least they should not because that would be foul. I'm very cognizant of the fact that there are people, like cancer patients, who have to hold off due to doctor's advice. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, one of the reasons healthy people SHOULD get vaccinated is to protect the immunocompromised by slowing the spread of the virus. But we know that's not happening, and it's why I'm so goddamn angry at people like Kyrie.

That being said, the other stuff you have written on here today is textbook antivax propaganda that I've seen all over the place that has been debunked ad nauseum, and you even used the word "globalists" in one of your other posts which is an anti-Semitic slur used by far right wing conspiracy theorists. I know where that stuff comes from dude. It's vile. You're not going to get a pass for spreading antivax conspiracies, that behavior is getting people killed right now.

There’s nothing anti-Semitic about it. The “use” of the word is irrelevant to the actual definition of its existence. Does it fit the description of some billionaires in Power or not?

This isn’t a form to please anyone but our basketball interests. I don’t know why you all feel the need to overstep that line, consistently.

My “opinion” isn’t getting anyone killed compared to the amount of deaths exist right now in our community due to gang violence, domestic violence and trafficking, I am incredibly disappointed you actually typed that. 50,000 missing women of color in poor communities on top of it today and that’s how you respond to that?

On a basketball related note, I’m honestly more scared of the fact Kyrie admitted his ankle was worse than we thought and needed additional recovery.

Between Harden’s hamstring and Kyrie still doing work on his ankle….I’m legit concerned that is also why we aren’t seeing an extensions right away.

Today I'm thinking about someone who was basically family to me who died last year, and I see the bull sh*t certain NBA players and a boatload of fans are spewing and I'm just wondering how did things come to this.

I can't help but think that none of these people have lost anyone to Covid and that's why they continue to talk sh*t. I can't imagine how people like Karl Anthony Towns feel seeing idiots like Kyrie, Bradley Beal, Wiggins, Michael Porter, Issac, etc use today as a platform to spread misinformation when his mother and 5 other relatives died. He had to talk 2 other teammates into getting vaccinated, and thankfully they did.

Honestly, I'm very proud of Kevin Durant and James Harden. Their maturity and dedication speaks volumes. Kyrie can do whatever he wants, but I'm done. He crossed the line with me. He's the only player on this team unvaccinated. He's a clown.

Kyrie is the 3rd option on the team and is expendable. Just trade him and be done with this weirdo. If he wants to be professional and follow the rules then by all means. He's a great player and will make your offense even tougher to stop. But the handling of him with kiddy gloves should end now.

It's more complicated than that. His relationship with our 1st and 2nd option makes things difficult. Even if we disregard that, we will probably only get back pennies on a dollars so a trade may not make sense.

Figured id separate out the State Vaccine Mandate/Kyrie/Political wormhole stuff from the basketball stuff. So please use this space from basketball related training camp discussion only. I'll start us off with some talking points:

-Claxton's extension. would be 4/52. do we dish it out now? there is a roster crunch as is and moving him may make the most basketball + financial sense from a team perspective. (I vote hell no personally)

-Who gets cut/traded from the NBA roster: Sekou, Bembry, Claxton, Johnson, Other? One body needs to go whether its cut or a trade/consolidation trade. What is interesting is all have been announced by the team and are in camp speaking as if they are with the team for good.

-Who gets the last 2-way deal? Duke? one of the second rounders?

-Which old dude looks like he is gonna find the fountain of youth? Aldridge? Milsap? Blake for the 2nd time? James Johnson

-Patty Mills... just let lose and overreact to him being the biggest steal of free agency

Okay back to basketball

Unless Sekou blows away the coaches at camp with some improvements he may have made over the summer, I'm pulling for Bembry to take the 15th roster spot. He's a dog, he's from Jersey, and we need defenders on a championship roster.

What is the base minimum we can offer Nic?

An extension north of $40M means we’d have to deal Joe Harris at some point before luxury tax penalties on the James/KD/Kyrie deals kick in.

It doesn't seem like Harden or Kyrie's extensions are going to get done this season from the way they all sounded yesterday, so we might have time to see who will be worth keeping in the long run. Personally, I think Nic might be gone since Harris is an elite shooter.

Stay in your lane, I’ll stay in mine. This is how the world works. It’s getting off topic but I’m free to be reached in a PM for any extracurricular conversations.

Nah I'm good. We have nothing to discuss outside basketball, clearly.

And you should be ashamed to invoke missing Black women as a defense for you being called out for spreading absolute horse sh*t. Don't even go there with me.

Ashamed to bring up things you never have? Not at all. You don’t want to go there with me. End it while it’s ahead. We never talked, so there is zero to discuss outside of sports. Again, there is a reason why this forum is the oldest Nets forum but doesn’t grow.

I don't see Sekou making the roster unless he's bring something substantial to the table. The feedback that i got back from Pistons fans was not what i was hoping to hear.
