Why are we leaving shooters WIDE open? What is the defensive plan here? We are scoring but giving up open threes like crazy

The offense is looking much better. But we have to stay home on the shooters. I have no idea what the Nets are aiming for defensively, everyone looks lost and that is on Nash.

His entire defense is literally Kenny Atkinson’s playbook.

I’m ok with Embiid taking contested jumpers. Don’t overhelp and leave shooters open, if he’s making those then you just shake his hand and move on. But overreacting and leaving guys like Curry and Green open is 100x worse.

We should not allow that.

Last couple of plays Carter was pressing, need to see more of that pressure

Kenny used to drop the bigs back and called for guards to get through the screen if I recall..

This mess? I dunno. They all look lost and don't know where their man is.

They had two months to figure this sh*t out. I'm so pissed

To be fair, we have nobody capable of matching up with Embiid’s strength.

I mean Carter looks like he’s trying hard, but he’s the one that completely lost Curry on his last 3. He’s overly aggressive and it’s burning us.

But 6 point game going into the 4th…this is a winnable game.

We should be draped on the shooters and if Joel scores on contested shots, fine. But a huge reason why we can't get over the hump in this game is because we continue to let their shooters get clean looks.

Nash sucks man. I can't defend him. What kind of defensive philosophy is this?

Embiid scoring is what I'm not upset about. It's the wide open threes that continue to kill us. Killed us against the Bucks, killing us now.

Joe Harris quickly went from my favorite player on the team to a guy that I just know is gonna screw up.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
