We've been winning games with them together though, I don't think we need to go away from Mills because he had 1 bad game. He's been stellar all season

Hes better off the bench in my view.

Agreed. The 2 big lineups have to stop... Play Bembry or Brown, they make good things happen with their energy and defense.

Also mix in the young guys.

Outside of Cam, the young guys are all out with Covid.

We should have went with Harden/Mills/Bembry/Durant/LMA. Not sure why we went with two centers

Not with Kyrie and Joe not available.

One bad game should not be cause for change when it has been working with Mills at starting SG.

It's a sloppy game but I think Nash is to be blamed for starting and finishing with the twin tower. I have never bashed Nash and this is the first time. He's so worried about Embiid that he thinks the twin tower would limit him. In fact, you let Embiid get his and limit the other guys, we would win this comfortably even with the turnovers/sloppiness we had. Last quarter our offence was ok but we just could not get stops. Those wide open 3's by 76ers would not have been there had Bembery or Johnson was finishing the game instead of Aldridge..

Anyways, on to the next game. At least we won't be seeing the twin tower moving forward I think.

The good news is Harden is officially back. While getting the 1st seed is important, I would not worry too much if we are healthy.

Fun game, despite the loss.
The Joel / KD stuff at the end was good stuff, and I look forward to Embiid coming out on the wrong side next time.

Man, I'm thinking if Claxton can work on his mid-range toolset a bit, he could become a dangerous guy, what with his ability to slither all over the place with ease. In fact he was doing it in the G-league, right..?

Also STILL kind of in awe how easy Durant makes things look with his ability to get off a high-quality shot in almost any situation. oO

Yeah, I'm not bothered by the loss, but it doesn't seem like our coach (what's his name again? Ferpy McRush?) did much of anything the last couple minutes. No timeouts to draw up a play, no quick-fouls to control tempo, and the team didn't seem to realise it needed to take some quick threes at the end. Is this the stuff I've been missing by only catching bits and pieces of games these days? :/

My analysis of the game came 30 minutes before tip:

It's an opportunity lost.

We have a ton of ugly wins, in terms of how we let our teams come back and make a blowout into a squeaker. But stylistically, we do not embrace physicality as we should. I feel like this is the common thread among our losses. I know that we're down bodies, like everyone, but I think we need to shore up this deficiency. Chicago was the first to exploit it late in our games, and now teams are trying to out muscle us all game long.

So far, good teams are having great success with it. Oh well, we're still on a very nice W-L pace, and we have the chance to level up more than any other team when we're at full strength. Go Brooklyn.

Yeah I thought Nash really out smarted himself with going with two centers. We needed more perimeter defense than anything.

I don't know why Nash does stuff like this.

We always work best with KD at the 4. Two non shooters is just silly.

The worst part about this is the fact that Nash went on record weeks ago saying he didn't like what he saw from the LMA/Claxton front court

Not going to win them all. We had ball bounce our way this year more often than not. Enjoy your new year guys and stay safe. We will get them bums next time.

lol great job Embiid what a way to go . I expect a suspension or fine . That little arm pump thing he does is a big F YOU to everybody. it's like when ball players hold their arms out to say "hold my nuts". I didn't realize Embiid was this immature. Patty was off

It makes 0 sense. Yyou take away everything claxton does well having him play the 4. instead of being the guy who switches on to the small he is the guy getting screened. so you lose him on the small and you exploit him by screening him. offensively you losing spacing since Bembry shoots it better then claxton even though not a shooter.

Bembry is a better defender then claxton if claxton isnt playing center

like you said, we tried this early and it was an enormous failure.
