By empowering Kyrie to hold himself and the roster accountable, Nets fans might actually see a better product on the court.

Good luck to him if he thinks he can maximize profits like this.

Interesting thing about Udoka is that Celtics fans were ready to run him out of town through December of last year.

Then they went on that run. But not sure if that was before or after they made the trade which brought them Derek White and Horford back.

Their defensive scheme, to have Williams roam off a bad shooter to contest all shots in the paint, is credited with their success in the last half of the season and the playoffs.

But it didn't hurt that players performed a lot better in the second half, including the players from the midseason trades.

The level of weirdness here has really gotten out of control.

Anyway, ignoring all the off court stuff, Udoka is a massive upgrade over Nash in a lot of ways.

Quinn Snyder would have been my top target, but I'm sure Ainge would have insisted on significant compensation (as if we didn't already overpay him for Royce). I don't love adding Ime's issues to this circus, but maybe it moves the media on from Kyrie's foolishness for a hot minute. He does have a pre-existing relationship with many of the players, including the stars, which helps.

Curious many think the Udoka deal is done. Wow. Idk how i feel on that, as I am not entirely educated on how it unfolded in Boston. I know he had an inappropriate relationship but what does that entail? did he forced himself onto someone against one's wishes? mutual relationship? taboo? etc...

Snyder was a long shot after i saw he's still under contract thus something of significance would had to be parted... knowing Ainge, f that guy lol
