I’d be thrilled if Caris develops into a taller Jrue Holliday.

Also a man who puts his family first, and was willing to step away from the game of basketball to do so - I'm rooting for this guy

RHJ, DLo, Olynyk, Cauley Stein, Lyles, Delon Wright, Tyus Jones, Oubre, Hernangomez, Harrell all better than Rozier. All have improved or produced year to year in a starting role at some point. Oh, Oubre, Wright, Olynyk, Harrell also did it in playoff roles.

I personally feel like tanking because we need a flashy toy to generate some organizational respect. Being the apart of the worst trade in league history is a real narrative.

Rozier's FG% is 39%. I'm not sure why that is being ignored.

if the 2015 draft, which actually had some nice players in it, had a redo RHJ is a top 10 pick in that draft.

also, for the people that feel like we need to tank and get a top 5 pick. look at this same draft. Devin Booker, Myles Turner, Rondae, Bobby Portis and Terry Rozier were all selected outside of the top 10.

The Nets scouting team in 2019 will be the x factor. not where the Nets end up in the draft.

I'll be honest, none of those players outside Turner move the needle for me and he went 11th iirc.

Am I crazy because Booker doesn't do a ton for me? He just seems like a player who isn't especially conducive to winning. Maybe it's just the trash around him that influences the way I feel, but every time I watch him he doesn't impress me the way a guy with his stats should and I have to do a triple take at his numbers cause it's almost like he's just out there a lot of the time as a talented guy on a terrible team given a uber high usage rate putting up monster numbers almost by default.

sorry man, I hate the "he puts up numbers on a bad team" argument. I don't care what team you're playing for, if you're putting up his numbers with decent efficiency like he is, he's a good player. His defense is awful though.

Booker, RHJ, Russell, Cauley Stein, Portis, Turner and Oubre are all good young players that are developing. In 3-4 years they will all be moving the needle big time. That class was pretty talented.

I think he was properly rated when he was on the Sixers. He fell out of the spotlight due to all of the injuries and off-court events. But now that he's healthy again, he's making himself known again.

Looking back, my team was fire this season. I knew Jrue was properly drafted. And Dwight had a good season, as well.

I intend on running a system similar to seven seconds or less, but based around intense defense like the early 90s Runnin' Rebels. In the set offense, I intend of shooting a lot, while running the offense through the point position, but mostly, I would look to get open court and fast break points. Rebounding and great defense is how the team will get out into the open court.

I feel that 3pt-Chuckers cannot match-up with my team. Their smaller lineup cannot matchup with my bigger one as I have Dwight Howard and Steven Adams that are much longer and stronger than anyone they can put up there. If they want to go small, I can drop Paul George to the 3, Durant to the 4, and have Love at the 5, while inserting another defensive presence that can shoot in Wes Matthews. In terms of athletic ability, my team matches up well with them as Patrick Patterson and Kevin Durant are just as large as Serge Ibaka, while being just as quick; additionally, Bledsoe and Smart are two of the most explosive athletes in the match up. I have defense and play-making on the bench in Bledsoe, Ingles and Patterson, while also having a skilled low-post scorer in Pau Gasol. Overall, the 3pt-Chuckers will not be able to match-up with my team as I can go big while keeping athleticism.

Love messed his hand up again. Same hand even. He's freaky injured prone too, not like made of glass injury prone. Like if a weird freak injury that isn't too bad in the long term is going to happen, it's going to happen to Kevin Love.

Kind of classless to put LeBron on the spot like that about Pop's wife. It's in poor taste all around, to Pop, Pop's family, LeBron, etc.

The TNT reporter had asked him already if it was okay previous to the interview from what I've read.

Still, very odd decision to ask him such personal question just after the game had finished.

Poor taste.

Was Jason Kidd a better coach for the Nets than he was with the Bucks? Kidd was awarded coach of the month twice with the Nets & also made the second round of the playoffs. With the Bucks, he's gone 2 Ws & 4 L Ls and got bounced in the first round twice

2013-14 Nets: 14th Off Rtg 20th Def Rtg (44 wins)
2014-15 Bucks: 26th Off Rtg 4th Def Rtg (41 wins)
2015-16 Bucks: 26th Off Rtg 23th Def Rtg (33 wins)
2016-17 Bucks: 13th Off Rtg 19th Def Rtg (42 wins)
2017-18 Bucks: 9th Off Rtg 19th Def Rtg (23 wins)

Kinda interesting to see that his time with the Nets as a player and a coach was largely the best of his career. Still, it seems that he's a HOF player & an iight coach

That won’t likely see another job for a long time. He desperately wants in on Phoenix but he’s practically blacklisted there so Idk who would be willing to give him a shot.
