You guys know your not getting a 1st. I know you guys traded all of yours for the next decade but you aren't getting one here. We can wait until you guys fire the guy, we were the worst team in the league while you guys were a playoff team. Who has more to lose?

Nets can re-assign Kidd to be Frank's assistant to watch tape, hire a new head coach, and still file for tampering.

As for tampering, it's not that big of a deal regardless. This isn't a TWolves/Joe Smith situation where they were trying to skirt the salary cap(by signing consecutive 1 year deals under market value with the promise of getting a huge deal when they could use Bird rights to go over the cap) getting caught when Smith's agent rolled on the scheme. That's a lot closer to the AK47 situation if you want the truth and Kidd and Lasry would have the inside scoop on that if they want to play that game. Phil Jackson got fined for tampering earlier this month, it was a $25,000 fine. Lasry wipes his ass with that money.

Miami in 1995 settled in giving $1,000,000 and a 1st round pick to the Knicks for tampering with Pat Riley. Again, Bucks forfeiting a 1st round pick would not be unprecedented.

Fisher was technically still under contract thats why there was a charge. Im not trying to be argumentative here but there is more evidence to support the proper timeline versus improper. It would be extremely difficult to get to the point of extreme punishment.

Again, how? He'll be taking orders from Frank away from the team. He's essentially being paid the length of his contract to stay away (~$7 million/3 years). I think Bucks fans are being naive to think there wasn't any collusion happening here. Kidd goes to Nets ownership and demands a raise and a promotion. He gets denied, and the very next morning, his agent calls and and asks for permission to talk to the Bucks?

Now, that said...

Nets fans are being a bit naive to think we're likely to get tampering charges and get a 1st rounder. Tampering is so hard to prove that barring blatant actions cannot be proved. Kidd and Lasry had working relationships before. Any kind of phone contact between the two can easily be disguised as either catching-up or Kidd simply exploring his financial options as he has done many times in the past with Lasry.

But that said, if there really is a "wink wink" deal with Kidd and Lasry, and the Nets firmly believe that's the case, then don't expect the Russians to take this lightly.

They will not want to be shown up. Kidd has already embarassed them a couple of times, but this is the ultimate slap in the face. Firing him would be giving him EXACTLY what he wants. So unless the Nets brass wants to look like gutless chumps, the last thing they'd do is fire Kidd.

This will get ugly for both teams, as Larry Drew (and even the GM) knows that the new owners tried to pull this ish behind their backs, and the Nets have to deal with the fallout in-house.

Wait, are you actually trying to argue that Silver can just make teams forfeit their draft picks whenever he pleases for no reason at all?
