LOL, even when Deron Williams plays well, he sucks. 10 TOs and pretty much singlehandedly blew the game for the Cavs.

I love it.

after last season where there were more than a few blow outs in the playoffs, I'm not going to waste my time watching this garbage. These players get rolled in these games and dgaf, the overall product of the NBA is getting staler and staler with the dog mentality of some of these players man.

western conference finals, finals and maybe a can't miss 2nd rd match up will get my attention but not much else. I refuse to watch the Cavs play while that piece of **** is on their roster, I hope they lose in the 2nd rd.

The Grizzlies have a very solid shot at the Spurs this season. Conley should have no issue dealing with an old Tony Parker and Aldridge has struggled against Gasol in previous matchups.

the clipers series should be a good one. i cant watch spurs/griz... snooze fest.

looking forward to boston/indy if thats how it shakes out... and interested how milwaukee fares

One thing that has REALLY stuck out to me so far this postseason:

EVERYONE traps/double/shows on pick and rolls. Thats one of the big things that seperates us from the really good defensive teams. their Bigs can trap, doulbe, or show. With Lopez/Hamilton we watch our PGs get setroiyed on sceens and have to fight over them while the big sags 10 feet off.

We need to find the future defensive anchor of this team. Look at the impact thon maker had yestarday. We need to find a way to get justin patton

Patton or Collins - they both have the physical frame & potential. Thon Maker is proof that you gotta have some foresight into who the player you're drafting has the potential to become

I don't see a team within that pick range taking back anything we have to offer. Especially Lopez on a 1 year rental. Teams that can afford to piss away a pick like that are picking in the range where we're already at now.

I agree though. We need to get our future C in this draft and shift that position to one where it doesn't kill us defensively, we will never win with Lopez's feet glued to the floor while guards get wrecked on screens, its nauseating to see how other teams jump those screens while we always give up clean jumpers to guards. We cannot afford to wait til 2019 to do it. Marks has another tall task in front of him come draft night.

Patton is still slotted in that late teens range.

I still think a 22/27/Booker for Myers Leonard/Harris/15/19 could have some legs and again, that is why I do a trade like that in a heartbeat. I know Leonard's contract is awful, but it's not that huge overall and like Prok has mentioned, as deep as this draft is, to me there is a big talent difference in the late lotto to late teens range in comparison to where our picks are.

If we could somehow walk away from this draft with 2 guys out of say Ntilikina, DSJ, Zach Collins, Anunoby, Patton, Donovan Mitchell and Terrance Ferguson, we'd be in good shape, but as it stands right now, we'll be lucky if just one of those guys falls to 22.

Like, I don't even think Mitchell lasts until 22 in all reality, but him or Ferguson are the most likely to slip and Ferguson is raw as hell, though he has carved out a small role in a man's league already.

I think you get to the 15 and 19, I think you can get into the top 10(Sacto's 2nd pick is 10) for Whitehead and eating Gay's contract for maybe Hamilton and still keep one of those 2 picks.

That's huge.

Say windup with the 10th and 15th(or 19th) overall picks in this draft without giving up anything of real value other than cap room for the next couple years(and not even a lot of it), while preserving the ability to offer a max contract this off-season or next?

These are the moves that set us up for the future. I don't know if they're completely realistic, but these aren't crazy pipe dream fodder either.

yeah big drop off IMO from 15-19 to 20-29....

As far as portland i dont see them moving any picks to a team unless crabbe and/or turner are going out the other end. if your portland and your over the tax you're better off keeping the picks and getting rookie scale guys, waiting a year for those deals to look a bit better and trading them in the future.

Leonard is 3/30. it doesnt give them much relief or under the tax. it saves them cash but doesnt get them out of the repeater which i think is needed for them to move a pick

My brother's best friend (and fellow groomsmen at his upcoming wedding) spent the year playing with Ferguson in Australia. He's raw but athletic as hell and seems like a pretty good kid. If we draft him i'll find out more info.
