this bargnani thing is being way overblown, we got him supercheap on a 2 year deal and he has a player option to leave if he wants. he also is coming off bench in a limited role unlike toronto and knicks.

That's why it's silly to have this massive discussion. We don't know how healthy he will stay. The backup C position will be TRob or Reed. Just like expected before Bargs signed. Anything Bargnani gives us is an added bonus.

he didnt play a huge role on the knicks. and it doesnt matter that we got him for dirt cheap if he is a huge negative when he is on the floor.

We just bought out a 20m/year player and handed the PG spot to a bunch of scrubby backups because we didnt want low effort negative players and wanted to start a new culture here.

brining in maybe the biggest net negative player and notorious low effort low work ethic player is just insanely counter productive. i can only see him hurting us on and off the court

bargnani will barely play anyway, he is always getting injured or some hamstring, calf strain, broken bone or something

Andrea Bargnani participated in half of practice today and said he felt good.

Bargnani said his goal is to participate in every practice and sounded hopeful of playing in one of #Nets remaining 3 preseason games:

i thought at cetner he was solid. at PF not so great. at C it brought him closer to the rim and we got less of his YOLO step back 20 foot antics and over dribbling.

didnt want any part of bringing him back, he had a great chance to stay out of trouble but couldnt. you can maybe overlook that for a contender, but not on a rebuild

so if nets were able to get 1 good year out of blatche on a bench role, why doesnt bargnani deserve a chance at a bench role?

because bargani isnt a good player, and i dont want 1 terrible year out of him where he is a net negative when he plays.

i dont see the comparison to blatche. blatche wasnt great, and made some dumb plays. but his issues were more off the court. when he was on the floor he was competitive, played hard, and wasnt a total 0 or negative.

bargani has always been one of the biggest net negatives in the league. i cant see how he plays and isnt a negative here, regardless of what we pay him and regardless of his role

wizards fans were complaining about blatche, he was playing lazy at times, selfish, lousy defense, lack of hustle. he had problems staying in shape , bad shot selection, caring about his stats

but he was never anywhere near the oncourt negative that bargani is. bargani is one of the most net negative players of our generation. you can make a strong argument for him being the least valuable player in the league. others might not be as talented, but they also dont take as much off the table.

if bargani is in, you are going to be outscored during that stretch

bargnani is just bad at rotation and help defense, he is a good one on one defender, kanter and david lee are awful defensively as well

one on one defense doesnt really matter much. team defense and rotations are really what is important, and he is among the worst in the league at that. im not sure whay kanter or david lee have to do with anything. are they on the nets?

if you look at the defensive metrics of teams bargani has been on when he is on the floor its pretty abysmal

king should of signed jonathan simmons from our summer league team instead of bargnani, i really liked him even though he is a 6 foot 6 sg/sf. but they just wanted more tall guys

Nets fans need to get used to seeing him jog, jog, jog around and not do anything of basketball impact on the game until he gets open for a Chuck. That's Barfs. Then because of. Lack of conditioning he will come up lame about 3rd quarter.
Good Luck

i view this as good news. the longer it takes him to get on the court the better
