Re: GT: Nets @ Bucks Playoffs 2ND Round Game 3 Thursday 7:30
We were in a 1 possesion game with 3-4 minutes to go and BOTH our stars were on fire at the moment.
Thats just an awful situation to lose. How we arent going small when we are up 3 with 1:23 left is beyond me. at least go with blake + a shooter at the 4.
this is so awful. We finally get an elite team and our coach is going to fck it up for us.
i hate steve nash with the power of 100000 suns. F that guy

We've seen Mike and Shamet, both ain't did $*** either. 4 TO between two in limited time.

Ridiculous. Just a wasted game.
Brown did everything right. he took the shots he always takes and should take. he shouldnt be on the floor late game when we are going possession by possesion. put shamet or mike james in for offense there.
Awful coaching.
Having brown in because he might get an offensive rebound vs Lopez/Giannis is the dumbest thing of all time.
and to say he has value on pick and rolls and then kill him for shooting a shot off a pick and roll is all kinds of hypocritical.
And as a coach, if he is on the floor, you have to at least anticipate they are going to force him to be a scorer and double trap/kyrie and durant and deny them the ball

Early on, yes. Especially during that run to get back in the game. But in the second half he started to leave that shot short a lot.

We should have won this game. We had the better offensive players. I don't know why our offense was so horrendous in the last minute.
We don't need to overreact but we had a chance to put them away. Milwaukee still hasn't had one good shooting game. I don't think anyone would be surprised if they got that in game 4. Were not some elite defensive team. This is just a big wasted opportunity. If we just clearly lost, I'd be cool. We choked and just handed them the game.
it is pretty much a lock this is going back to Brooklyn 2-2 with the bucks having all the momentum and confidence and the players on the Nets frustrated with our coaching.
Without Harden, we probably lose in 7

Yeah. It's not like we're asking Bruce to do something he can't. Just not take awful shots in the last 3 minutes of the biggest game of the season.
Not to mention, he rushed that shot with 20 seconds on the clock, giving the Bucks 20 seconds to work with instead of 10 - AND giving them an easy transition opportunity. Just a horrible decision. Made life so easy for Milwaukee.

"Dumbest thing of all time"? Bruce had 11 rebounds tonight, include 3 offensive rebounds. Offensive rebounding has been a strength for Bruce all year long...Prokorov wrote:DarkXaero wrote:It's not awful coaching, Bruce Brown has great value on offensive glass and on screen & roll. That was not a pick & roll at the end, Brown caught the ball at the top of the 3 pt line after Kyrie was trapped...

Don't be shook. The Nets played bad and yet had minimal turnovers and overcame a disastrous 1st quarter to lose by 3.
We aren't the ones who need to be worried here. If the Nets come out Sunday with their usual execution it will be a hot afternoon for the Bucks and not in a good way.
We cant count on our role guys to play well. they wont on the road. its much more likely their role guys like forbes and tucker hit wide open shots at home.
We are completely F'd

They weren't shooting us badly as Joe was, and they can play better defense than Joe because they're not slow af.GTR11 wrote:DarkXaero wrote:The real mistake by Nash was playing Joe Harris down the stretch in this game. Why is it a big deal to have Brown in in the last minute? Hes a good screener and can hit a floater if open.
I just don't know why he didn't pass back to Kyrie or KD one of those last two shots. He didn't have a good look and hes not a scorer.
I'm pretty confident KD would have made one of those shots.

Mike James had his pocket picked twice by Lopez, baseline drive at the double team.
Shamet bricked shots, yeah couple where after broken position at the buzzer, still guy is either hot or cold. If he's cold he won't work up by taking more and it showed throughout his career.

Joe played solid D, and he's size talk. Was huge for our rebounding game. Shamet and Mike can't guard chair on a regular day, you think they'll do better? That's laughable.

Harris was the worst player on either team tonight.
But when the game is one the line you can't take multiple dumb shots. It was inexcusable.
We had the lead and we blew it away because of his stupid shots.
Neither was dumb. both were 5 feet and in, with a lane on shots he is comfortable taking. if you dont want him potentially taking those shots, he shouldnt be on the floor.
I mean, think about how much of a moron you have to be not to know thats going to happen:
1) Brown is on the floor
2) Brown sets a screen, making it VERY easy to leave him to double and force it into his hands
if your putting brown on the floor, and having him be part of the ball action with a screen, you cant then either be surprised when he ends up with the ball or upset when he shoots it.
if he is in, and they double and leave him, thats the shot he is gonna take/have to take. otherwise, dont put him in the effing game.

Exactly.
Not gonna call anyone out, but collectively we need to chill. The Nets went down 30-9 in this game and the Bucks had to scratch and claw their way to a 3 point win. If we come out next game like we usually do, this series will be 3-1 headed back to Brooklyn for the finishing blow.
none of that matters. their 1 point win where our guys play poor counts the same as our 40 point win.
As i mentioned earlier, role guys suck on the road. ours did as predicted for the most part. Harris especially. Why he played so much is beyond me. we didnt even extend shamet or try TJ.
Their role guys should have been better at home. they werent.
this is going 7. and we will lose EVERY close game because of nash's coaching,
Don't overreact. If we execute better offensively Sunday this series is 3-1.
That simply isnt true. they played awful and won. they were down 3, with under 90 seconds, with KD on fire, while they were playing awful and won.
they will play alot better, be at home, and they are much more likely to see role guys improve.
we will be 4-7 point under dogs game 4, as we should be.
it will take more then just a big game from durant to beat them game 4.

Blaming Nash for this loss is idiotic. He helped us get back in this game and put us in position to win.
Not his fault that neither KD or Kyrie could hit shots all 4th Q. And certainly not his fault Brown went haywire and took the last 2 shots.

Yeah, they exposed Mike. Something for Nash to think on. We hid him on Forbes during first two games.
I'm cool with his D as long as he dishing and making shots. Guy drove into baseline four times and turned the ball over twice, Lopez of all people who poked it for a steal. Can't happen.

Why would nash get credit for wins when he coaches awful and watches his stars not miss shots?
