The nets bought #44 in a strong draft for 1 Mil and they got a worse pick for their HC?

LOL you guys are so ridiculous.

There was no way, we were getting a lottery pick out of this. We did the best we could Kidd ****ed us.

I'd like to see you become a GM and do a better job.

All I'm saying is atleast get the Bucks first round pick and not your own. And get something wore more than 1 million dollars

Well it's been fun guys, good luck with your coaching search and your upcoming season! I'm sure you guys will do fine attracting some other big name. I think we all should want to move on, holding Kidd hostage would of been bad for everyone involved. Once the anger has subsided a bit don't hesitate to come over our board and tell us what to expect out of Kidd as a coach.

I'd trade every 1st rounder we have from 2019-2023 if we could get Thibs over here.

Hey, at least we have SOME draft picks. 2nd rounders are better than nothing, and LAC gave up a late 1st rounder for Doc Rivers, who's proven himself as an elite coach, while Kidd still has A TON of question marks.

I always thought it was unrealistic to get a 1st rounder from the Bucks, but I was holding out some hope. Honestly, 2nd round picks in exchange for a 50/50 coach that we were going to fire anyway...it's a lot better than nothing.

But now we need a coach, and I really fear that we're going to hire someone crappy (Hollins or Jackson)...I'd much rather go after Karl or take a chance with Messina.

Absolutely pathetic on King's part that he couldn't even get a protected 1st against a GM negotiating for a coach who might take his GM spot in a year.

Nets might as well fill the vacancy with Tom Thibodeau if all it costs are 2 2nd rounders.

Unbelievable. Un **** ing believable :nonono:

King needs to be fired immediately. It isn't like we're going to do anything worth a damn in free agency besides lose Pierce and Livingston anyway.

Two dog **** 2nd rders. Kidd and the Bucks **** this team up the ass in the middle of the street and they walk away looking like winners.

NETS LOSE. AGAIN.

What they need to do is take Kidd's jersey down and burn that **** in public. **** him, and **** Billy King

You know whats the worst part of this all? Kidd is going to Milwaukee... a team I rooted for to win the lottery and get their man (Parker) in the draft. I was looking forward to seeing that team rebuild properly with the Greak freak and Jabari Parker so that Milwaukee fans (who are among the best and loyal fan bases in the NBA) have a team worth rooting for. I just can't root for that team anymore and will probably root for their failure purely because of my growing disdain for Kidd. I'm sorry Bucks fans, it's nothing personal, but I can't help but root for Kidd to fail miserably so that he could be out of the NBA for good. F*** that guy.

Here's a question for those who have twitter and what not and follows the Nets reporters:

Would the Nets consider taking down Kidd's jersey from the rafters after this stunt?

And how does him now being a Buck affect his minority ownership? Surely there's some kind of conflict of interest there, right?

Taking down Kidd's jersey hasn't really been discussed as far as I know. I seriously doubt it'll come to that. Like it or not he's the best player in Nets history.

As for his minority ownership. It has been discussed and we'll definitely see him sell his stake sooner or later.

He might be the best player in our history, but at this point isn't it safe to say that the Nets don't want anything to do with him? Why have him be retired as a Net when the franchise wants nothing to do with him?

Speaking as a native Wisconsinite and Packer fan as well, I can relate to how some of you guys are feeling about Jason Kidd right now since had a somewhat similar situation with Brett Favre. It hurt for awhile and there was a lot of bad feelings but eventually most people moved on and started to remember all the good things again instead how it ended. Favre is going to be welcomed back into the family, we're going to officially retire his jersey and reconcile with him before he's inducted into the HOF. I hope you guys can eventually do the same, it would be sad to forever turn your back on and renounce your franchise's greatest player.

I don't blame you. As a Bucks fan, Jason Kidd is a piece of sh*t. But he's ours now so we have no choice but to root for his success.

I wish you luck and I really wish things would've worked out better. On the plus side, the Nets seem to love draft picks (they bought 3 of them this year) so getting 2 future picks to get rid of that cancer has to be viewed as some sort of victory.

Hey guys I just want to let you know that I am fine, and not at the bottom of the East river. Also I will not reply or contact anyone suggesting to email them. This was the first unexpected news this summer around the NBA. The three amigos in Miami are not news, they will be back to the same team.

Stay tuned....

The problem here is that Kidd has departed this organization on shady terms both times. When he forced his way out the first time he pulled the migraine stunt and caused trouble. Fine. We all swallowed that one.

This time, he deliberately snakes the franchise attempting to make an ill advised power move and in the process **** the team over. At this point, I don't even want the team to be associated with the cock sucker in any manner, and his jersey should be taken down and the number given to other players.

He's a wife beating drunkard cutthroat scumbag. I'd rather have Vince Carter's number retired in Kidd's place because Carter is the total opposite of this piece of **** and a true professional.

You'll soon see.

The thing is is that this is literally the second time he has forced his way out of the team. A lot of people were angered with the "migraine" DNP and thought he was a POS for forcing Thorn to trade him back in 2008. People eventually got over it and rooted for the Mavs to win it all. I personally didn't care and sort of understood him wanting out. But now he's forced his way out again and it's all because he's an egotistical douche bag. I seriously doubt people will forget about this soon if at all. He burned the bridge, we rebuilt it, he burned it again.
