Let me ask you guys something. With the recent surge in FPS games, what would you guys think of a GoldenEye remake? Personally, I'm one of those guys that believes in "leaving the classics alone". Although, online GoldenEye would be absolute bitchin'

I wouldn't mind a remake, but I'd bet the farm that it would never, ever beat out the original.

Remake would suck. The game is dated. It really won't be able to stand up to the recent FPS.

I absolutely love Golden Eye for the N64. Me and my brother used to play against each other all the time. I always played with oddjob....Anywho, they can do a remake the sameway PS3 did with Turtles in Time and Bionic Commando. Just create the same exact game and make it available for download only, update the graphics, optimize it for hdtv's and just add online support for it.

They'll never do it. Microsoft and Nintendo won't ever come to an agreement. And even if they do it'll never be released for the PS3.. just the 360 or maybe the Wii..

GoldenEye remake by the end of the year

Perhaps you heard the rumours, maybe even saw the circulating images attributed to a leaked confidential Activision survey. But this is no Internet hoax; the legendary N64 title is indeed back, and could even be on show at E3.

Activision haven't been able to keep a lid on the news, starting with domain registrations, springing anonymous leaks, and topping it off with last week's survey, including images of a possible peripheral and alternate box art.

According to Eurogamer, the game is being developed by two studios, Eurocom and n-Space, and will release in November on DS and Wii.

While the above seems pretty legit, the 'net has exploded with wild speculation, with some claiming the game is a faithful remake of the original, and others touting features like massive multiplayer and DS and Wii cross-platform play.

..and I call BS on that Goldeneye Remake. Why would Activision, a company that had no role whatsoever in the original be in charge/hold the property of this remake. Doesn't make any sense. Unless I see Nintendo/Rare/Microsoft's publishing the game, I won't be convinced.

Because Activision owns the rights to the 007/James Bond franchise.

Just type Goldeneye into Google news.

It will be coming (Wii and DS).
