don't tease me!

That wasn't the point of this thread. It was to follow what pick we will end up with this season, not the prospects. Mods changed my title/thread.

Really hope they change it back to "Boston Celtics 2016-17 season Pick Watch Thread" like I had it originally

I think they did it so that those Celtics fans don't come over here beefing with us when they wake up from their heroin naps

I think that aslong as the Boston forum keeps their thread titled similarly, we should keep our thread named after them. If they want to take little jabs at us then we should take the little Jabs back. If the Boston fans want to bitch about it, they can change the name of their thread and then we'll change the name of ours. This is the second time the "Celtics season pick watch" thread has been created, and it was created by 2 different people. Its clear everybody on the board wants the thread. What's so wrong about it? If the Celtic fans don't want a taste of their own medicine then they'll change the name of their thread.

So can we change the name of this thread back to what it was originally titled?

I agree, but I understand where the mods are coming from. They (the drunks from Massachusetts) watch this board like a pack of stalkers and some of them don't hesitate to come over here talking ****. It would get ugly fast.

Personally, I don't want to get banned so I'm good, I'm not getting into it with them. The less Celtic trash coming on our board, the better. Leave them to their bottom shelf vodka, shared needles, and obsession with our team in their own safe space.

as long as we stay hovering around .500 i don't think much excitement or enthusiasm will last as the season progresses....

I mean its all about the NETs sucking for a bottom 5 finish and boston making headway in the eastern standings....

too early right now and so far neither is looking promising.

Come on guys. Our board has had a lot of fun at your team's expense. Can't see why your fans can't have some fun too. Change it back to the Boston Celtics Draft Pick thread. Think of it as a well-placed trap. If any of our guys come in here talking smack, go ahead and ban them.

Before making threads, please go back at least a few pages to see if it's already there.

Merging this one with the original thread.

My thread wasn't a draft thread. Mod took it upon himself to make it a draft thread even though that was not the thread.

My thread was to discuss how the Celtics are doing since it directly impacts our draft pick and future.

Good question, seems like this forum tries to copy the Roger Goodell "No Fun League" regime.

He drafts like Billy King. Very good at finding role players. Outside of that, I'm pretty sure he never found a superstar type of player

yeah its kind of upsetting the mods just let the Celtic fans walk all over us. The Celtic fans have had a Brooklyn watch thread for 3 years now, and we can't even have one for 3 hours.

Nets fans wouldn't know what Celtics fans were doing unless they went over to the Celtics board to laugh at them after every Nets win.

A number of Nets fans talk bad about Celtics fans, but now we want to mimic them? Just because one fanbase is allowed to gloat about another team doesn't mean we need to do the same or return the favor. This isn't a game who can make the most fun of each other or who laughs last. There's no need for a thread about them especially considering that they own the rights to choose to keep their pick or swap with us.

All of our draft talk can go in the draft thread.

Unless the thread is breaking a rule isn't it up to us if we want to discuss it or not. Who cares if they have the right to switch, we obviously know we're getting the worse of the two picks so it's still relevant to discuss how they're doing.

And it's all related to the draft or Around the NBA talk, each of which have their own threads.

It doesn't warrant a separate discussion in its own thread. All it does is allow for Nets and Celtics fans to bait each other and have tempers flare.

Plenty of teams have owned top picks from other teams, and they haven't created threads for that.

How is it good to mix prospect discussion with how the Celtics are playing? Sure they both involve the draft but they're separate topics that would just get congested in one thread.

One thread discusses the prospects, the other discusses a team's performance that dictates WHERE we're picking.

That'd be like mixing the Brook Lopez and CMC threads just because they both play in the frontcourt

If you want to know inside information about how the Celtics are playing go to the Celtics board.
If you want to talk about how the Celtics and/or any other team in the league is playing with Nets fans, post in the Around the NBA thread.
If you want to discuss the pick situation, use the draft thread (which is all-encompassing).

Two threads were created on the same topic (one by you, and another by MDB a few nights ago). Both of them quickly devolved into pissing contests between both fanbases.

As Rich said when the other thread was locked "No, we do not need to invite (or bait) them over here." We're not going to have a full season of baiting back and forth.
