I remember watching Musa throughout the 2015 FIBA Europe U16 tournament, which Bosnia won. In the finals, and throughout the tournament, Musa was insanely confident in critical moments of the game, but he had the skills to back up that confidence when he made the critical shot or play. Several of the games were extremely close (the Spain game might have had like 2 OTs). It looked obvious that this guy was a superstar and that the NBA was inevitable.

He's been compared to Doncic, without the point guard qualities.

They're saying he would have been drafted much higher if he was willing to be stashed. That sounds good. G-League maybe.

OTOH, isn't it a bit strange that with Vezenkov, Musa and Kurucs, we've got three Euro SFs that're all 6-9 shooters? Is it a Marks' obsession, believe, fetish, he's playing odds or just coincidence?

Vezenkov is strictly a power forward. He has not played small forward since he was like 16.

Cool, but still pretty similar size, maybe won't be the same in the NBA? Interesting that he plays in the same team as Kurucs. How do they play together?

Really would be nice if he comes over as well.

Watching the press conference both Dzanan (Jahnan) and Rodi are competitive and hard working . A reporter asked Rodi about Porzingis he said he'd love to play with him on his national team. The reporter said and here he said yes "beat his ass"

Hey, Kenny in the interview just said Kurucs can play some 4 as well

Come to think of it, like Acy and Dante, maybe they are all gonna end up being stretch 5s afterall.

Bosnian national team will play qualification games for the World Cup 2019 against France(29 June) and Belgium(2 July). Before the draft, Musa said he will join the team for those two games, but now he isn't so sure about it. That's not really something Nets fans should care about, but if he decide not to come back from the USA for those games, Bosnian fans(already traumatized with the Nurkic who rarely played for the national team since joined the NBA) will be mad on the whole NBA thing, Nets and also Musa will risk to lose his fan favourite status.

I understand the national pride angle, I really do, but you have to imagine that Musa has dreamed about playing in the NBA and frankly this is a great situation for him to be in especially as a 19 year old kid because the team actually cares about the players and helps them to develop on and off the court. I hope his fans back home will understand that being here will be for the best and when he does play in the Olympics for Bosnia they'll be getting an even better Musa than he is now.

Q. The human body is obviously a huge thing playing this game of basketball. How important is your mindset? How important is the mental in this?

DZANAN MUSA: I think the most important thing is your mental strength and your basketball IQ. You have (Nikola) Jokic from Serbia in Denver, he doesn’t have a muscle in his body and he’s still one of the best centers in the NBA. You have to have it in your head.

Throwing mad shade at Jokic.

Lol that was funny but he's just stating facts, Jokic looks weak as hell and has zero muscle mass, I'm amazed that he's able to be very good at Center with no strength. He needs to get in the weight room though seriously. I just don't understand how you are in the NBA and I have more muscles on my body than him.

Everyone is different, thats what makes basketball so much fun because there is no set formula to being great...Jokic looks weak as hell but yet goes out there and busts people's asses every night on the court.

Yep I agree. we'll also have to be patient with him. he's 19 years old, which kind of surprised me because when you watch film of him he plays like he's a lot older. good sign.

He needs to put on some weight and work on his strength. Perfect tank-a-thon candidate. Won't make an impact til year 3 when hopefully he comes on like a freight train haha.

Check out his Reddit QA from yesterday.

Nickname - Nani

Took number 30 because he respects Quincy Acy and Acy already had 13 which is his number

Just has a good way with fans:

Consistency, and Strength training will be key for his game to come alive in the NBA. Watching a bunch of his highlights. He uses his shot as a way to get his offense. That's really all about rhythm. I can't see him getting consistent minutes until midway to the season.

I honestly don't know if there was a better spot for this kid to land in if he had to go late in the draft. Most other teams this late are good teams where he might get buried on the bench forever. The bad teams with mid and late picks have blue chippers ahead of him and high picks this year, this team has none and will focus on him. Plus we're great with player development and will commit to him as much as he commits to the team. Lastly, we have a big need at small forward and there isn't much pressure here, though there is accountability. And actual lastly, in Brooklyn, NYC, NJ, the whole Tri-state, no matter where you're from, there's a large population of your people here to help ease the transition. As long as you stay clear of the hanger's on and the gangsters, you'll be good.

To me he looks a lot more like a SG. Maybe a hybrid but he is definitely leaning a lot more to a pure SG position. I know position doesn't matter much. I just don't think he can do what he does if he is matched up with a bigger player. Unless he completely translate his game to being a more just a spot up shooter. I do like what Marks does creating a ridiculous amount of competition for every positions
