Re: The Official Nic Claxton Thread
You guys know I like Nic over Allen and DJ because he brings energy and offense consistently. I believe he can expend our offense and take it to another level. Yes I based because Allen's lack of confidence and development on offense pissing me off big time.

Here you can see he's quick enough to keep up with guards.

I'll try to find more vids where he takes it to the rim and how it affects entire defense to play us different. I'm not going to lie I will demand Kenny to play Nic a lot more often no matter what.

“I texted him a week ago … just told him a lot of us in this locker room have our arm around him and we’re watching him and making sure he’s progressing,” Kyrie Irving said. “Guys that are talented and so young, you want to make sure they evolve into the right place. He has a role on our team regardless; he plays that well, makes that much of an impact.

Re: The Official Nic Claxton Thread
Claxton needs to be in the regular rotation starting from today. We need someone with energy in the line up, I'm tired of watching the 2nd unit play like trash.

Claxton finally gettting burn makes me glad, his game is very versatile and he does play with an edge even though he looks too thin

Another one of Marks gems. This dude is a legit player and will only get better. Excoited about this kid. He reminds me of a young Chris Bosh. Not saying he's going to be as good as Bosh before somebody jumps off a cliff and go ham on me, but the similarities are there. He's a little more athletic than Bosh though so he has that.

Re: The Official Nic Claxton Thread
loves claxtons energy and he played well but lets pump the breaks and not turn this into knee jerking like we did with levert.
Allen is much much better. Jordan is much better. lets not forget the string of 16/12/3 games allen had earlier this season or that claxton is doing it vs backups. great kid, lots of upside. we should find minutes for him. but allen should start all year and jordan needs to be backup center when he returns

Agreed, lets not get ahead of ourselves. However, I think it is obvious that he should be a rotational player going forward. We need his activity.

If he can develop that long ball into a consistent shot he should absolutely be playing PF.

No coincidence that when we lost both Shump and Nwaba the energy on this team tanked. Those two guys were absolute dogs.

But I thought we don’t play big PF’s?

Re: The Official Nic Claxton Thread
I think Clax has a good looking jumper and could easily play the 4 next to DJ or Fro going forward.
Kenny values 3pt ball in our PFs in his offense which is why RHJ is gone for example.
I think Clax is too talented to not be in the rotation. I expect rookie mistakes but he plays incredibly hard and is super talented.
Very exciting rookie.

What does Allen and Jordan have to do with anything?

we dont have PFs period. we play 2 wings at forward. he showed he has wing skills. his height is irrelevant, like kurucs who is also a wing but 6'9" or 6'10"

But when I said we need someone with size that could do the things Claxton does it was a problem?
