I'm just looking at the on court stuff honestly.

Like, I think Jason Kidd is a disgusting human being, but he absolutely is one of the league's 75 greatest players of all time.

You (and most Nets fans IMO) are out of your damn minds with the Kidd hate, but I agree with the rest of the above...

Kidd is a terrible human. there is 0 debate on that.... domestic abuse, multiple DUI's one resulting in a horrific crash. spitting on security guards, etc...

I'm generally (actually almost universally) on womens' side in such situations, but IIRC, Kidd did little more than throw a plate of food at Juanita, then immediately paid to the hilt via police domestic report, long mandatory counselling, and a life-long label as a 'wife-beater.'

Meanwhile, do you remember NI's reports about Juanita's behind the scenes shenanigans, because from the evidence, she sounded like a borderline psychopath to me... one whose career also and immediately disappeared once the separation / divorce happened. And yes, that could be interpreted multiple ways there, Jason, but as the sayings go, usually cream rises to the top, and where there's smoke, there's fire. Those are never automatics of course, but at the same time, there were no winners there AFAIK.

Also, I'm assuming you've completely run out of self-righteous ammunition when you talk about 'Kidd spitting on security,' so... heh?

That said, all this stuff (so far as I understand it) kinda pales in comparison to the DUI stuff, IMO. Which also becomes a pretty terrible indictment of how many states in the USA treat this stuff so lightly. So was Kidd indeed busted x2 for DUI!? If so, the f-cker should never drive again IMO... or at least something close to that severity-penalty, I think.

Lastly, Proky, dude-- I thought I'd indicated PRETTY CLEARLY that I'm not really interested at this time in doing a knock-down slobberknocker on Jason Kidd. However, *sigh* if that REALLY ignites you, then at least start a discrete thread, please?

His own son hates him too. Kidd was a great player, no doubt about it and I loved watching him play when he was here but he is not a good person.

As for Kidd, I don't condone his behavior. NONE OF US DO. However, any rational mind should view behavior on a spectrum. He meets the mark of a domestic abuser, and should suffer the consequences from a legal level. We don't need to equate him on a societal level with R. Kelly or Ted Bundy, and we surely don't need to levy similar criticism to anyone who dares to question this illogic.

True, Kidd was my basketball idol growing up, and even I can admit he exhibits some abusive habits. Ask Giannis, he'll tell you he wouldn't be a superstar without Jason convincing him to expect more from himself. Conversely, ask Kris, and he'll tell you he was a bully in public and a snake behind closed doors. Hopefully, Ason has matured enough to find success in Dallas.

1) we didnt have another first. we tried to move shamet and others to get it. The Nets like you wanted to avoid moving allen. but it was required. as much as i loved alen, its still a bargain for harden

2) We couldnt have paid him. cap wise we could make it work with his rights, but the tax would have been higher even then what dinwiddie would have cost us, and we had to dump him for seconds/junk.

3) It still amazes me people were arguing claxton was better then allen
