I really like what he/they is doing, focusing on 3&D, spotting up and guarding SGs, pass a little bit, steal, run the floor, not doing anything fancy, do the basic, go slowly from there, less chance of getting reinjured.

In Kenny we trust.

it's baby steps with him. He just needs to be worked in slowly and hopefully after the trade deadline more minutes open up for him and McCullough because they represent the future. They are proceeding perfectly imo. He probably won't even feel 100% by then so it's all working out. I think it's important for Whitehead, LeVert, and McCullough to get major 2nd half run so you can figure out where you stand with them.

He's earning his minutes tonight against the Wizards, he has such long strides and able to get to the rim. Plays the passing lanes well

I love the fact he doesn't force up shots and any move he makes in isolation is always to set up a teammate or draw a foul. I haven't seen him attempt a bad shot yet.

He looked really good this game. He's showing both physical attributes (like his long strides) and mental ones (making the right plays). Like Whitehead, I think LeVert will be another steal, both of them outperforming their draft slots.

He caught the lose ball and went from end to end in four seconds. Four.

My favorite highlight was the 2nd clip.

He saw an opening from the left wing, drove hard to the basket (really used the full length of his stride) and dunked it.

Showed agility, athleticism, and vision in a halfcourt setting.

I keep thinking to myself, this guy was a top 10 pick (easily) before he had the foot injuries. He is so much more talented than Thad Young it's silly. The question is can he stay healthy. Cause if so, he does is so skilled. A multi-dimensional wing with handles, athleticism, length and shooting. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but he has game.

The guy is starting to get comfortable. I think it's the first game he's playing so aggressively. Light at the end of the tunnel?

My fav was the leaner. Heady play.

Personally I feel he needs to put on a few pounds to take the starting load, but this kid definitely shows high bbiq, good shooting range, and decent defensive/offensive skills. He is the most promising youngster in the team. I like iwhitehead defense and think he will be a solid backup guard.

At this point of the season, there's no harm in starting the kid. Heck, MarSwag even started a string of games at one point in one season.

No rush to start him he's just starting to get comfortable off the bench. Why put more pressure on him he's coming back from injury.

The slow burn is better for his development.

I will keep saying it, this is truly the first thing that shows me that Marks and Co. have a real future running this franchise like a real NBA team. That move was super questionable at the time, trading Thad. But now seeing LeVert getting minutes, and knowing we picked up Booker for less than Thad... I'm loving it.

LeVert seriously oozes potential, and you can see how high his BBIQ is. The key here is letting his development happen and not force anything. This kid has a future as a starting SG in this league and can really be something special, but we can't force anything. He's got a long way to go, both on the court and in his physical development.

I'm super excited to see how his season continues, especially as he's given more minutes as the games go on. He'll really come out and surprise the league in a couple years, book it.

One ‘super positive’ discovered after Nets’ destruction

Atkinson gushed over LeVert’s defensive versatility, able to guard multiple positions, while Brook Lopez praised the lift he gave the team.

“Yeah, absolutely no question. He definitely gave us a spark,’’ Lopez said. “And he hasn’t been afraid these last few games. He just has to keep playing with a lot of confidence.”

The Nets are 7-8 at home, but an NBA-worst 1-16 on the road.

“We obviously didn’t find the answer,’’ Atkinson said. “It’s a learning experience for our group, for me as a first-year head coach, what we can do better on the road. I can tell you this, we’re going to try [something different]. We’re not going to stay the same.”

Otto Porter, who had 12 points and four boards, is set to be a restricted free agent. The feeling in Washington is the Wizards small forward will be of interest to Nets general manager Sean Marks, who is 0-3 trying to land restricted free agents.

Keep it up!

No rush to start him... I actually like the progress and care/treatment for LeVert. He has had foot injuries and we suck. No need to throw him blindly onto an oncoming train. Let him learn and let him grow at a seasons pace.

use next offseason, build off what you learn, get stronger and more familiar with the playbook.

I dont know... maybe im missing something but i just dont see big potential with him. i agree on his IQ and poise but that only goes so far. I like what he has showed defensively... but he plays smallish and in the half court on offense i dont see much. doesnt seem like he can get by has man with any consistency. his three seems ok. maybe it gets better.

right now he just seems like a smart hard working kid with a knack for the game who doesnt really do anything all that well. his ceiling to me is like a solid 7th man who occasionally starts due to injury. maybe he can eventually play PG and have more value? idk. maybe im way off but other then him being poised and smart for a rookie he is kind blah to me
