Bojan's value is totally screwed by signing Jennings... that's how you hate to play with Jennings

Blazers have a pretty bad cap situation going forward. It would've been somewhat better for then had they not matched on Crabbe. (shrug)

It doesn't sound like he is mentally tough enough for the NBA, and Blazers are stuck with his contract till 2020.

Exit interview with their GM today, I believe. Oshley also announced that Ezeli will not be back on team next year. He is pulling no punches.

Joe Johnson leading the Jazz to a near second round birth. Brings back memories.

Also, Blake Griffin has played in 162 games in 3 seasons and only 7 games played in the postseason over the last three years. Yikes. No max on Griffin.

We kind of take for granted how healthy Lopez is. He's appeared in 220 games since 2013.

Joe Johnson turning into God honestly pisses me off.

He was just so bad his last year here. Seems like he wasn't even trying.

Some players like Westbrook just always give 100%. Other like Johnson only do it when motivated. And then you have players like D-Will who are just straight dogs.

Joe was nothing special during regular season for the Jazz either. But he has really turned into Joe Cool / Joe Jesus mode in the playoffs and its awesome to watch. We have seen that kind of Joe in Nets uniform too ;)

No we haven't. Where was this in the 2013 playoffs or 2015?

It wouldn't have annoyed me so much if we weren't paying him the highest salary in the league and thus rendering us incapable of acquiring other talent to fill in the gaps.

JJ for 2yr/$22mil in this spiked cap era to show up down the stretch in some regular season games and more importantly playoff games? Sure.
JJ for 4yr/$90mil in the pre-spike cap era to be your #1 or #2 option to carry your team to the playoffs? Nope.

id still max blake... not because of health or oncourt play... but because he is a guy others would sign on to play with.

Blake is my #2 behind Millsap. He's still a remarkable player. I trust our coaches and staff to monitor minutes and health.

He averaged 21/3/3 with a career high 20.3 PER and .625 TS% in the playoffs in 2013. It is what it is with him. He's just an enigma. Although, I think Utah's culture helped change his effort level.

Joe Johnson is amazing...

I hate that he folded but ain't complaining about his success in Utah. Utah is using him less in minutes and priority compared to when JJ was a NET in his last year. Different roles and expectations. In the end both clubs heavily rely on him and his cool blood.

the balme with joe is 50/50. for what he was making he needed to give max effort no matter what.

That said, as a veteran used to winning coming to a team so toxic where the 2 best players were a giant dog (dwill) and a low motor guy with no competitiveness(lopez) i can somewhat under stand the "f this" mentality.

its no coincidence once we brought in other competitive guys (KG/Pierce/Terry/Kidd) Joe played to his potential

Utah almost plays throwback basketball. A lot of guys contributed last night. Joe does the clutch ISO stuff, Hood had big 3s, Hill was all-around solid sinking the last 4 free throws, Gobert is the big man you fear who alters and blocks shots and gets key offensive rebounds, Hayward is a prolific scorer, Ingles is tough and does a little bit of everything well, they play team D. They're a fun team to watch.

CP3 was big last night, just made big clutch play after big clutch play and played tenacious D. Problem for him is, so did Utah. And CP3 ran out of time.

I'm coming out of the playoffs impressed with CP3, Kawhi, Conley, LeBron of course, because of their pacing. They figure out how to give enough during the game to have enough to make plays down the stretch of the game while knowing when to keep their team in the game. I don't think Harden and Westbrook have figured it out and beyond their big numbers, I'm not blown away with either of them. When it comes down to it, basketball is a game of 5. And knowing how to use who is on the team, and when, and when you need to take over is a big part of winning basketball.

Oladipo really dropped in value for me.... I've seen better from him and honestly he hasn't come close to be a #2...

shame.
