The only thing Marvel has over DC is the quality of movies it has produced over the years... which isn't even that big of an advantage because DC has the absolute best superhero movie of all time: The Dark Knight. Iron man can only dream to be as good a film...

And Deadpool? He's funny and has bad ass weapons, but hatas he ever done? Besides.. THIS guys is deadpool:

In all fairness, Iron Man's biggest weakness compared to the other Marvel heroes over the years is his lack of villains. Batman's villains on the other hand is probably some of the best in comics. With those, a solid hero and Batman, and a great director and writer and fan in Nolan, it's very easy to expect a top notch film. However, outside of Batman and Superman's villains, I'm just not an avid fan of most of DC's other villains whereas most Marvel heroes have at least one great villain that I love. I also think Marvel's heroes are more relatable in their human alter egos than many of DC's, which makes for good reading.

In terms of relatability...It's because some are aliens: Superman, Wonder Woman, J'onn J'onzz... and the others are underdeveloped: Flash, Aquaman, Green Laturn(s)..

I think that can be resolved, though... by establishing the character trait and developing him/her in a film the correct way. Before Iron Man came out he was almost never mentioned among the elite Marvel characters. The film did a lot to raise awareness of his characters. Same for Nick Fury, Thor and Black Widow. Wonder Woman, Green Lanturn (John Stewart version) and the Martian Manhunter all have the potential to be the leads in blockbuster movies if done so correctly.

The same for the Villains. I mean, Hulk, Captain America and Iron man all had crappy villains and that didn't stop them from being good movies. You could take a crappy villain from any of the heroes origen and evelop them into worthy adversaries. In a Justice League of America movie you could center it around Brainiac, Darkseid, Luthor + Hush etc..

My favorite is Spiderman. Most relatable superhero in comics, imo. Everyone can understand financial problems, girl problems, family problems, school problems, job problems, etc. And I think everyone at some point can relate or kind of understand Peter Parker as a social loner.

Throw in the fact he's got spider powers, and yeah, he's my favorite.

But I like Superman and Batman a lot too.

I mean, I like both Marvel and DC. Can't we all just get along???

Personally, I would take the Avengers over Dark Knight and I LOVED the Dark Knight.

I think we can forget about that last part especially since other than his wisecracks in that so called film, Deadpool was poorly portrayed. Like every DC movie that ever came out except the Dark Knight movies. Don't forget that same guy played the Green Lantern so I think it's best if we remove that information from our memories

Besides, Deadpool would kick Batman's behind....YEAH I SAID IT!

I'd say he was an elite hero though. He was established as one of comics' richest characters and is usually in Avengers lineups as one of its leaders and one of Marvel's strongest heroes. The only reason why his awareness fell off was because his main villains (Mandarin and Crimson Dynamo) hadn't aged well.

The film did a lot to raise awareness of his characters. Same for Nick Fury, Thor and Black Widow. Wonder Woman, Green Lanturn (John Stewart version) and the Martian Manhunter all have the potential to be the leads in blockbuster movies if done so correctly.

Sadly, I don't think anyone's going to be willing to go to another Green Lantern film after the Hal Jordan flop. I'm not sure if everyone flocking to see a Martian Manunter (as awesome as he is) film.

The same for the Villains. I mean, Hulk, Captain America and Iron man all had crappy villains and that didn't stop them from being good movies. You could take a crappy villain from any of the heroes origen and evelop them into worthy adversaries.

I think Red Skull has been one of Marvel's best villains. I didn't mind Abomination. He has always been a solid villain. Iron Man however, like I've stated before, doesn't have the villains that stand out. Then again, sometimes you can absolutely fail with amazing villains (Fantastic 4 with Doctor Doom and Galactus, I mean how the :censored: could anyone fail so :censored: hard with that franchise...absolutely disgusting.)

In a Justice League of America movie you could center it around Brainiac, Darkseid, Luthor + Hush etc..

Sure, but you could also make a very decent Superman movie (which fans need right now) and make an amazing film with one of first three (Preferably Darkseid, I'd make an entire Superman trilogy on him like I'd make an entire X-Men trilogy building up to Apocalypse). Still...all of the talk for a Justice League movie seems moot since I believe I read that DC won't make another adaptation until at least 2015.

I didn't say I disliked the Avengers... I just thought it was mediocre and not worthy of all the praise it has gotten. I mean Hawkeye? F*** that guy, am I right?

Ok, so to those who have seen both:

Better movie, The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Rises?

Better villain, The Joker or Bane?

TDK and Joker.

But DKR is better than BB imo.

Better villain in terms of acting, the Joker.

Better villain in terms of difficulty to defeat and degree of damage caused, Bane definitely.

Overall I thought TDK > TDKR = BB

Recently bought "The Binding of Isaac" on Steam when they were having their summer sale.

12 hours played in one week. If you liked the classic "Legend of Zelda" for the NES and don't mind crude and mildly disturbing humor, get it. It is also very hard and has a huge replayability factor. I don't know how much it is now but I bought it with the downloadable content for like $3.50. Totally worth it!

I heard this on an [adultswim] bump. I had to look it up. Didn't know Early bird was on it. Sick stuff. I also like these Fly-lo instrumentals. I need to look more up.
