Celtics just waived 2 young players including my boy Kris Joseph. C's getting close to a deal?

Also, I hope the Nets give Joseph a look.

Guy, I've graduated from the Billy King Negotiation School. Day 1 you're taught if you're going to over pay, you may as well go balls to the wall with the over pay.

1. Would you trade lopez and wallace for Dwight and Ron Artest ?

Yes Dwight's health and attitude is scary but at the same time I don't think lopez's blazing start to the season is sustainable. Not health-wise but endurance-wise. Still though, I think Id pass on that trade. I'm just turned off to the whole idea. Lopez is our boy.

How about Lopez, Brooks 2 1sts for Howard then a second deal of Hump, Evans, Stack for Gasol?

Williams / Watson / Taylor
Johnson / Bogans
Wallace / Toko
Gasol / Teletovic
Howard / Blatche

Then look to sign the likes of Kris Joseph or any other decent players cut to fill out the roster.

I thought D-Will hated Hayward, or that they just didn't like each other.

I think that's just Deron being Deron to a rookie.

Have you folks already kicked around a Boozer for Humphries/Brooks deal? With DWill and Boozer, the Jazz were an actual contender. Lopez, Wallace and Joe Johnson are a heck of lot better added cast than Okur, Brewer, and Kirilenko. Anyway, the offense/coaching philosophy is not working out as well for Boozer in Chicago and he will likely be the EC player of the week for last week.

Not that it would ever be accepted but if approaching the deadline and Howard tells LA the same as he did ORL that's it's Brooklyn or he will test free agency...

Imagine sending Wallace & Hump plus picks to LA for Howard & Metta World Peace. Lets LA move Gasol back to 5 to be the low post threat, Hump does dirty work, lets Kobe cook.

While Metta takes over from Wallace and Howard fills our front court void.

Nash
Bryant
Wallace
Hump
Gasol

Williams
Johnson
MWP
Howard
Lopez

Like I said wont happen but if LA aren't in the playoff hunt they will have to think about moving Howard.

LA doesn't make trades unless they rip off teams period.

They might trade Dwight for Lopez, but its more likely that they'll just let Dwight leave in the off season for nothing.

Agreed. No way in hell do they trade Dwight without getting Lopez or a 3 team deal where Lopez provides them with tremendous value.

I agree 100% but it would be very interesting if King had the balls, if things keep their current course, of LA ringing to ask about a Howard deal involving Lopez.

I've not doubt King would do a Lopez for Howard deal but wouldn't it be great if King said no thanks but we can send you a deal based around Hump & Wallace with picks for Howard.

It's far from a lock that Howard stays in LA past this season through free agency. Houston, Dallas & Atlanta could make very good arguments that they have more chance of winning with Howard than LA does. While if LA feel there is a legit chance he walks as a free agent they would have to move him and they would obviously prefer to move him East.

The Lakers could be in a seriously slippy situation between a rock & a hard place. After next season with Kobe & Gasol gone who can the lakers bring in as free agents & please don't say James, Wade or Bosh. Rudy Gay? Monta Ellis?

The lakers are looking at a potentially huge problem in Howard.

Why are Wallace and Humphries preferable to nothing?

LA is going nowhere fast and they are probably going to rebuild in 2014 when they have cap room.
And then they have to see Dwight in BK where he wanted to go. I just never see them doing it.

This is still Billy King we're talking about right?

He'd probably find a way to get the Cavs to give up Kyrie Irving and then ship him to LA with Lopez in addition to all our picks and he'll even get the league to form an emergency CBA meeting, rewrite the Stepein Rule and send them every consecutive pick from now til 2018.

In a dream scenario we give Lopez for Howard straight.

Then as soon as that phone call ended I'd be ringing Memphis to trade Wallace & filler for Gay which would take Memphis below the lux tax, just like they want to be.

Williams
Johnson
Gay
Blatche or Tele
Howard

Phil Jackson would be head coach before the Howard press conference time & venue was decided.

Gay for Wallace could actually be realistic for Memphis. Wallace would be the perfect fit but I have no idea who will see the ball between Deron, Johnson and Gay though.
