Looks like our luck (or lack there of) from Jersey is following us over to Brooklyn.

Not really. I mean, it's crazy enough to believe the lottery is rigged, but to imagine Davis is in on it? Come on. I thought it would have been a really interesting scenario if you guys won, with the whole Dwight situation. But, man, in the end, that trade was just abominable. It's too bad, because I think the whole Brooklyn move is exciting for the league.

It would have looked just as fixed if Brooklyn had won.

On the bright side, we're a shoe-in for the worst record in the league next year. We might even beat the Bobcats record setting season.

It was a horrible trade but let's not overreact.

Who at #6 would have saved this franchise / even remotely influenced Deron to stay?

There's 5 players I really like in this draft / feel have Top 5 player at their position potential (not that they will all reach their potential) after that there are a handful of good guys who would help the team, but who at the end of the day are available in any draft (read: crapshoot of good flawed players / players who do not standout)...

If Deron leaves we're really !@#$'ed but as I've maintained for a while now... I think money will talk when push comes to shove.

Good take. I just don't believe this was a calculated move by Billy King at all. It was a huge risk, and now the results can be even more detrimental to the origination and fan base. That's why I am heated.

It seems like everyone thinks that whoever would have been drafted at #6 would have saved Deron from leaving.

Your missing the point, the chance of our pick being 6th without the Wallace trade is slim to none. We'd have been a lock top 3 worst record teams if we didn't make the trade and therefore have a much better chance at Davis.

The trade was the worst trade made in the NBA in years. Billy King should be fired for it if im honest before he goes and blows all our cap on crap players to become a 4-8 seed Hawks level team in the East for years stuck in mediocrity. If D Will resigns i'd still fire King because he's made 1 major major major stupid idiot trade while being our GM and chances are he will do it again.

He's a complete idiot that has put our franchise in a crap situation.

We're banking now on Howard saying to the Magic, "Brooklyn and only Brooklyn" while they accept a Lopez, Wallace, Brooks & picks deal for Howard.

We're screwed because there are no good free agents available and its a lock that Eric Gordon is resigned now by NO no matter if he is offered the max.

Worst possible draft lotto.

It's possible that it could've been used in a Howard trade though, not to mention we could've had a higher pick had we not added Wallace.

I'm not worried about who would have been picked. I'm worried about the make up of the roster next season. Who the F is going to be on the team.....

Again our pick wouldve been higher without Wallace plus the player/pick would've been perfect trade bait for Howard.

We might not be even able to trade Wallace because he could sign somewhere else. In effect a 6th overall pick for a 20 game rental of a top 10 SF, are you frigging kidding me?!?!?

No-one is saying the 6th pick is better than Wallace but the reality is we would be 10 million times better off having a lotto pick and no wallace in case Williams bolts so we can start to rebuild.

It's entirely possible that Williams leaves, Wallace doesn't resign and we're left with nothing but Brook Lopez and bench players.

Well played Billy King, well played

No, we think it would have been used as part of a Dwight Howard trade. Without pick, no Dwight Howard trade. Without Dwight Howard, no Deron Williams. Without Deron Williams, no Gerald Wallace either. The trade was absolutely crap.

That's not that point. Chances are without Wallace nets have a worse record and likely higher pick. And even if it's the same the number 6 pick would be a valuable asset to use for a trade for Dwight Howard or whoever. I don't understand how people keep trying to justify this trade it's horrific no way to cut it.

Only good thing I have to say about this draft is that Ms. Pavlova looked quite delicious.

Other than that, **** this ****!

You can tell billy king was completely blindsided by Howard opting in(as we all were) and he panicked when he made that trade. Which leads me to have a lot less confidence in him as a gm.
