problem isnt just kidd leaving. what coach is gonna want to come here now? probably the worst landing spot in the mind of a prospective coach. team full of players who dont play hard and are old. and a front office that has had 4 coaches in 3 years, including firing a guy fresh off coach of the month

We had Hollins, Shaw atop of the list before we randomly hired Kidd. We will have candidates.

That was before this nightmare. as it is, it was rumored neither van gundy was interested with us because of the PJ/Avery thing. now throw this in, along with a team of low effort players and 2 injured stars and im not sure the top candidates are gonna line up to come here.

Luckily, with jackson being fired unexpectedly and having ties to NY, i think there is a chance for that.

I understand that the first post around here are 99% trolls. Jason Kidd is a big prick, the media try to make him look like a professional, but he is far from it. He yelled at the Russians, he wanted more money because guys like Fisher and kerr got a big check for their first gig.

I keep saying that over and over. He was pissed at all these rookie coaches getting 5 mil per deals and he was making less than half that. So he pulls a coup, get told GTFO and since he is buddies with a co-owner of the Bucks he has a perfect fallback.

KG isnt retiring. you dont turn down a gauranteed 15M to retire. if anything you take the money and either fake injuries and sit in a suit for 55-60 games or take the money and accept a buy out. or you just take the money and play it out

0 chance of retirement.

Dude had stacked Warriors team to work with, and underachieved with them. Blatantly didn't prepare his team during the playoffs, because he's too busy proselytizing. Calls ISOs for Jarrett Jack, Klay Thompson, and Harrison Barnes over and over again on crucial possessions in the playoffs, when he has a top 5 player in the league on the court. His offensive playcalling sucks. The one thing I would give him credit for is his ability to coach defense and motivate players, pretty much exactly like Kidd. Him and Kidd are on the same level. There's a reason why GS fired him...they should have done a lot better than they have.
