Redick's age is concerning. I wouldn't give him more than 2 years at most.

He'd be a real good under the radar add as a plan B type. He had a really good year last year.

Re: 2017 Nets Offseason Thread II
If the Nets want to continue to build the right way (with a strong identity/culture), signing JJ Reddik to a hefty offer sheet is a smart move. DLo & Caris could very well be the future of the Nets backcourt, but being guided by two mature leaders who know the intensity it takes to make in in the league day-in and day-out, and also ones who will be quite formidable opponents in practice is the best thing that could happen to the team's collective development.
So what if it costs the Nets cap space in the short term? In two or three seasons when DLo & Caris have surpassed Lin & Reddick they will be leaps and bounds better as players and leaders on the court.
By that point, DLo + LeVert + RHJ will have grown into the players that Lin + JJ + Booker have helped mold. Allen will be a lot further along as well

Underrated, and among the most improved players in the league last season. I would definitely be excited to see him in a Nets uniform, but he plays a role that Rondae and Booker are doing an adequate job of filling at the moment.

Gallo and Snell would be good looks at SF as previously discussed...

Redick I guess is a decent realistic option. I'm with Paradise in saying we can fogure out who starts and who doesn't later on. See how the team fits.

Would be a great fit but assume he wouldn't come here.

I was thinking about this... And the only reason why I'd hesitate to pull the trigger is that I think the Nets have to figure out whether Russell is a PG or SG and the only way to do that is to give him ample playing time with the ball in his hands.
Rubio can't really play off the ball while Lin can so while I think Rubio is better than Lin, the Russell - Lin pairing may work better from a development standpoint.

Given the contract he's going to demand, I'd stay away if I'm the Nets.
He just doesn't fit the timeline.

I didn't realize Redick drove to the hoop that much. I always thought he was just a catch and shoot guy. Should've watched him more in the playoffs. I think he'd kill it in Atkinson's offense. But again I'd like to have a few other guys here before we got to JJ.

Yeah. Aside from the age factor seems like a great fit.

Reddick I can see if we overpay.
Milsap? nah.
No one of that caliber willingly signs with this team.

It's about signing an experienced locker room vet that isn't over the hill. We saw how signing minimum deal veterans looked. We'll need another productive vet besides Lin here and it's a waste of time to sign a washed up one.

Re: 2017 Nets Offseason Thread II
I just don't see the fit with Redick, Russell, and Caris. It seems like the type of logjam that'll actually hurt development. Lin coming off the bench would help things but I'd rather that not happen.
