This is Jason Kiddesque stuff, Harden is an animal. In the playoffs this will actually benefit his at times passive nature scoring the ball in big games, with KD and Kyrie there to do the heavy lifting and shooters and finishers in the other 2 slots.

He’s not passive in big games. He gets double and triple teamed. When he actually had a true star player next to him in Chris Paul (even if he was a little past his prime), the Rockets were able to win 65 games and nearly dethrone the Warriors.

With somebody like Durant next to him, teams won’t be able to throw everything at him like they have been doing for the past 8 years.

Harden will absolutely feast in the playoffs.

Harden with no practice has this kind of understanding with these guys. In a few weeks lord of have mercy

Harden is just so giddy that he’s over sharing.

It should take a few minutes in one practice for James to remember that he’s one of the top 3 options in the league, let alone the team, and that he should look for his shot or KD, Kyrie, and Joe 90% of the time.

And it should take the rest of the guys even less time to realize how good he is and how much they should defer to him.

I love how Durant came up on Harden for the screen to force the switch. That is the deadliest pick and roll combination in the league

And then you’re going to have Kyrie, Joe, and Green in triple threat stances around the perimeter with their hands at their shooting pockets ready to receive a pass off the KD & Harden PnP action.

Did they real have a problem other than health? They very nearly beat the 73 win Warriors. I honestly think if Klay doesn't go supernova the Thunder win the title that year.

I’ve always said the narrative that he couldn’t get over the hump and choked in big games even though he had superstar teammates is way overblown and a bit of a lie.

Besides CP3 that one year, his “superstar” teammates have been hasbeens and guys from the Island of misfit toys.

And that year with CP3, they almost certainly get to the Finals had Paul not gone down late game 5 of the WCF’s.

I think he's trying to be a playmaker moreso, which is fine. He'll turn it on when need be
