How the **** is LeBron allowed to violate covid protocols and be allowed to play in Game 1 when KD got put in protocols twice and missed several games??

Which is why I don't expect Pritchard to play much this series. Kyrie and James are both too quick for him. Walker has picked up his defense over the past few weeks.

With that being said, match ups don't matter as much for the Celtics since they play a "switch on all screens" defensive scheme.

Guys like Grant Williams, Langford, Ojeleye and Nesmith are all versatile defenders who fit in well with the switch-happy defense so I wouldn't be surprised to see them all play more than Pritchard. I still expect Pritchard to get some minutes here and there because there's a chance he can give us (Celtics fan here) a lift if he can get hot from beyond the arc..

Brown being out hurts us more on offense. He's maybe our 6th or 7th best defender.

Many hours before gametime... why I am I so nervous right now?

Like, I have this weird feeling they're going to spank us one of these games. Not enough to take the series, but enough to shock us. Maybe that's good or bad, I don't know.

Had a quick glance at the Celtics forum here and the amount of disdain & horrible things they still have to say about Kyrie is pretty incredible to me. Destroying the Celtics this series would be incredible, but I do respect their talent level and coaching. I hope we're locked in and don't let up.

Yeah. The one or two guys that came here to talk ball have been cool, but there's a lot of people who hate Kyrie personally as if he did something to them. It's pretty pathetic

IMO Miami lost Game 1 vs the Bucks because they missed some wide open 3's down the stretch.

Which brings me to How Harris ....

With the BIG 3 healthy and Harris in the starting lineup, he's gonna get some wide open 3's.

If he knocks them down we should win by a comfortable margin.

If he doesn't it could turn this into a close game like.

The BIG 3 are the BIG 3, they're gonna get theirs, but Joe Harris hitting his 3's, and the main role players (Bruce Brown, Uncle Jeff et al.) just doing their thing, just being what they've been all year, and we should win big.

Despite what I said above, this is really the MAIN KEY.

We had a bad habit of sleepwalking thru the 1st Qtr in the regular season and spotting teams 10 to 15 Points leads before we woke up. Often we got away with it in the regular season, but you can't be spotting teams that much in the post season. We have to start these games with a sense of urgency.

I’m not worried about our offense. I just want to see competent (let alone, great) defense.

I’ve been underwhelmed by our team defense all season, and I firmly believe that we’ll need to defend at an above average level to win it all.

Please show me that we were conserving energy throughout the regular season, only to turn it on for the playoffs. I know that’s highly unlikely, but how well we defend will determine how far we go.

Let’s go Nets!!!

You know watching these play-in games and the two playoffs games so far, it has been really refreshing to see the level of defense and the officiating letting a lot of physicality slide. Let's hope we bring a much higher level of energy these playoffs.
